Ardashir had already requested Faye’s presence in a pretense of needing to go over some details regarding the materials she had requested recently. He was hoping he could get her to appear over this rather than trying to track her down, the Captain and Ms. Calloway made it clear they wanted to try and keep things even keel and not worry her too much. It was close to time as Ardashir waited for her to page on the door.

Creed, XO

She arrived a short while later and pressed the chime. Calloway was most definitely curious about what the XO wanted and for a brief moment, she wondered if the captain had told him about her secondary assignment to investigate the crew (especially the senior staff). But Faye discarded that idea quickly, knowing full well that Cochrane would be wanting to avoid the chaos such news would cause. The part of her that was perpetually suspicious had her slightly on edge as she waited and so she forced herself to breathe.

“Enter” Ardashir said as he looked up, he wasn’t as sold on everyone that Faye had the best intentions as they all wanted to claim. He had seen many betrayals over the years from those he claimed to have the best wishes. Still, he wasn’t going to disobey the Captain and the Admiral, and his own contacts in Intelgience told him to proceed for now as well.

Creed, XO

She stepped in and regarded Creed appraisingly and with more than a little bit of curiosity. “What can I do for you, Commander?” she asked, approaching the desk. He had invited her over for dinner with him and the CTO but had yet to have the opportunity. In truth, as much as she knew it would be a good opportunity to get to know her quarry better, she still felt uncomfortable with the deception inherent in doing basic surreptitious background checks.
