=^= Sickbay .. prepare for emergency transport. Casualties incoming form the away team. =^= came a report from the transporter room.

The transporter signal whined and, to the onlooking medics, appeared to be in a struggle to reform the pattern. It winked in, began forming then disappeared only to return back in a couple of seconds. That was a wrestle but after a long transport the three figures formed.

Kaia looked like she was going to be sick even past her injuries. The Commander was in better shape that way, however it was clear he was injured. The third was a native from Graven. While not conscious he was thrashing and twitching.

=^= Transport complete .. I hope =^= came the voice of the operator

Wookiee

Kaia felt sick to her stomach. She gagged, her body instinctively trying to expel whatever it thought was making her feel so out of sorts. She looked up at the nurse on duty with a pained expression, then turned aside and emptied the contents of her stomach.

“That was horrible…” She muttered, wiping her mouth.

Kaia, Eng

Not many moments later the transporter whined again. A short ways away from where Kaia and the others were the Captain, Counselor and another Gravenian beamed in. That transport took moments longer to form but there was not the disorienting stomach churning effects that the other crew had had. As soon as Maree formed and saw Tov laying there she let out a completely unguarded shriek and rushed to him, not paying attention to Kaia’s .. spillage .. and knelt , cradling his head. “Tov, what have you done?” Kaia could see tears welling up in her eyes.
- Maree

Walker came jogging in to sickbay. “How is everyone?”

As Maree moved toward her fellow Gravenian, Zef spoke quietly to the Captain. “Beaming up didn’t feel quite right to me. I don’t feel disoriented, but in the beginning, was there a glitch?” After years of having her atoms disassembled and then reoriented perfectly, every time, hitting a bump was a little unnerving.

Cochrane looked at her and put a finger to his lips and glanced at the Gravenites. He then looked at Darach. “Report, Chief. What the hell happened?”

Cochrane, CO

“Captain. We got a call from Ensign Kaia about the accident, 3 injured, Cmdr. Wynter, one local and the Ensign. I cleared with the local government before we transported them up here. That’s when we got your call for an emergency transport. We were working on extracting the Commander’s team before we transported your team back to the Manhattan.” Walker said matter of factly as he stepped closer to the Captain.

Kaia cradled her wrist in her other arm, trying not to be disruptive. She looked around slightly, really hoping there was a medic who could set her wrist and start the bone regeneration to fix her broken bone. It hurt a lot. And as the shock began to wear off, it was beginning to hurt even more than before…

Kaia, Eng

Cochrane put his hand on Darach’s shoulder. “Well done, Mr. Darach. Very well done.” and he turned and looked at the scene before him.

As the staff worked on the Gravenite and Maree reacted, the Commander was being treated, Cochrane stilled his mind and simply observed. That’s when he saw Kaia. Dropping his hand from Darach, he moved over to her. “Easy, Ensign. I got you.” and bent down and scooped her up slowly and moved her to a bio bed. “Little help here!” he bellowed in a voice that allowed for no hesitation, and a nurse ran forward and started working on making her comfortable. Cochrane looked at the nurse and said “Make sure you check with the CMO before you give any meds. She is most familiar with the Ensign’s physiology.” and he looked over at Kaia. He gave her a smile and said “You’ll be fine, Ensign. That’s an order.” and he winked before moving back to Darach.

Ensign Kaia looked at the Captain with a small, quiet nod, shivering slightly. She didn’t speak, letting the nurse examine her wrist while she watched everything with a quiet expression. This was the second time she’d been in Sickbay, the first time being her initial arrival to the Manhattan, after the accident. She hadn’t had a pleasant time on that visit either. She remembered the medics being somewhat rude to her, calling her attention-seeking even though the visit had been a Starfleet-mandated one. She hadn’t wanted to go to sickbay then, and didn’t want to be here now. But there wasn’t really any other way to fix her wrist.

She was worried about Tov, and her attention was mainly focused on him and the new Mintaran, watching them quietly. She felt guilty, like it was her fault. Maybe if she hadn’t been talking so much, Tov would have been paying attention to the road and would have seen the child in time to stop the car without a crash…

“Get Jasmine on comms. Tell her what’s happening. Make sure she is alone when you speak. We dont want the local populace getting scared or the rumor mill kicked off.” and he paused for a moment. “Chief, transport was… off. It felt… I dunno… slow… like there was some kind of lag or interference. Once you get ahold of the CMO, check that out, will you? And get the shuttle prepped and on standby. If there’s an issue with transporters, we need to be ready to move them physically.” and he patted the man’s shoulder again and moved to check on the Commander.

Walker nodded. “Understood Cap. If you’ll excuse me, I believe I have a call to make.”

As the Captain headed off to look after the team, Walker headed towards the transporter room.

=^= Darach to the bridge. Get a shuttle on hot standby will you? We might be needing it. =^=

Maree had reluctantly let Tov go and be taken into the hands of the medics who carefully placed him on a bio bed. The Second Minister stared daggers and worried glances seemingly all in the same instant. The young doctor ran his scanner over Tov and then glanced at the overhead display, then glanced nervously at Maree. “I’m reading,” he said, glancing at the Captain. “Sir, I’m not too proud to say that we could use Doc Wynter here and maybe a native doctor. I have bleeding that I can work to bring under control in the meantime but there are organs here that seem to be multi-purpose. I read the memo but ..” he left that hanging. Still he continued to scan and do what he could.
- Doc Vince Truman

“She’s on her way. Do what you can.” and he looked at Maree. “Seco… Maree… please look at me.” and he interposed himself slightly between the two. “I’m having a shuttle sent to pick up my Chief Medical Officer, but we need one of your people’s physicians here as well. You need to make arrangements to have them picked up at the same time. Come with me, please, and we’ll make the call together.”

He tapped his badge and said =^= Cochrane to Darach. Get that shuttle moving, Chief. Pick up the CMO and a to be determined physician for the planet. I want them on board ten minutes ago. Acknowledge? =^=
