As promised, Faye had run the last of the simulations. Eight more of them to be exact. She had gone over every contingency and every potential problem and felt confident that she had covered all her bases and this would work not well, but be fantastic.All those hours stuck inside consoles and crawling through jefferies tubes. There was probably no officer, outside of the engineers and the COO, who had better knowledge of the internal workings of the ship. And she had paid for that knowledge in sweat, tears and actual blood.
Leaning back in her high backed chair, Faye stretched out her arms above her head and sighed in relief.
Done. It was time.

The response was immediate. =^= On my way, Lieutenant. Dont start without me. =^= and less than five minutes later the door slid open and Cochrane walked in, a bit more briskly than normal.
“It’s ready? Seriously? If you are messing with me… so help me Lieutenant I will send you the Diplomatic Corps as a press secretary.” he said with a smile, knowing that job would one of her worst nightmares.
