“Good,” Kiama replied with a warm smile. “I like you and would like to spend more time with you. But not with each of us sitting on either side of the door to your lab,” she continued with a wink and a soft laugh as she dropped her hand. What she really wanted to do right now was to give Faye a hug, but she had a feeling that that would be too much. As impulsive and affectionate as she tended to be, she also knew how to respect people’s boundaries. Giving Faye the chance not to reply to her last words without making things awkward, she asked, “Where did we leave off with checking the watering system?”

“All these tubings are good with no leaks!” Kaia shot up again, figuring such a time would be good to speak up.

Kaia, Eng

“That’s good,” Kiama replied with a wide smile as she looked down at Kaia. “Shall we move to the next section then?”

Faye stood up fully and looked around at the space that meant something far more than she could fully express. As she then gazed at the other two offices who seemed keen on helping her, Faye realized that for the first time in a very long time she had forgotten to look out for signs that the others were weirded out by her. That somehow, things had just melded into what was possible instead of impossible. Not that there were words to convey that to them, nor was it perhaps necessary. But the truth was there, in all its frank and uncomfortable reality.

“Yeah, let’s finish up the last two sections. Then I’ll be able to move on to the next phase.”

OOC: I’m happy to continue this longer if you want, but it feels like a good place to rest this thread. There will be more garden threads in the future for sure.

Kiama nodded and smiled at Kaia and Faye, with her gaze lingering slightly longer on the latter. She was glad to see and sense that Faye seemed more relaxed and at ease than at other times. That added to how much she was enjoying talking and working with the two of them send a warm and very pleasant feeling through her body. MOving to the next section as well, she said, “That sounds good.”

OOC: I’m fine either way :)

OOC: I’m fine to end it here :D
