She laughed openly. “Awww, we never really were. Trust me, you would know if we were.” She tossed back a bit more of her whiskey and rose to her feet, setting the nearly empty glass on the table. By her estimate she had consumed at least half the bottle herself and there was only one quarter left. Time for some water.

He brushed off her warning, (yet another one) “For sure, we’d probably both end up in the brig.” She wasn’t the only one capable of doing ‘some damage’ but he didn’t desire to do any not then and certainly not now. He watched her finish her glass and set his own. It would have been rude for him to continue drinking if she had decided to stop and besides he was already more intoxicated than he had planned to have been.

“Hey, last time I went toe to toe with someone, it was with a Marine and I dislocated his jaw and he fractured my femur,” she said with an actual fond smile.

By this point her body temperature has risen with each glass of alcohol she had consumed and the soft sweater she had tossed on earlier was getting a bit much. In a more fluid motion than she shouldn’t have been able to managed this tipsy, Faye pulled the sweater over her head and tossed it over the back of one of her dining chairs. Rolling her shoulders to encourage some flexion in her spine, Faye smiled. She was still dressed in the black outfit from the brig, but whether that bothered her or not was not apparent. But it was figure hugging and, as she had thought when Rollo gave it to her, rather flattering.

Luke did his best not to notice that she was wearing the same clothes she had in the brig but more so that it hugged her body leaving little to the imagination as to the frame of her body, he’d not noticed before but it was flattering and he would be denying her the truth if he didn’t say she looked good. He mentally shook the thought, maybe get was far drunker than he figured and decided to shift his gaze, the last thing he needed was for her to see him staring.

Replicating a couple glasses of water, Faye moved back over and set one glass on the table for herself and held the other out to Luke. “Here, better drink up. You hungry at all?”

“Sure I could eat,” He said a little too quickly, trying to dismiss his previous thoughts, there wasn’t any place for that on a Starship, or so at least he would tell himself for now. ” He took the glass and held it to his lips, “Didn’t poison it right?” He joked before taking a sip.

Faye considered him for a moment before bending at the hips, dropping her head close to his and she whispered, “There’s always that risk,” she said sweetly, before standing upright again.

“Isn’t that the truth” Luke wondered just how she learned to become so flexible, his body ached just at the thought of trying half the stuff she was pulling and she made it seemingly normal, it was certainly something to watch, she was rather acrobatic.

“I’m going to grab some chocolate covered almonds or something easy to eat. I’ve only had a smoothie in the last forty-eight hours and far too much alcohol to eat anything heavy. Allergies? Preference? What do you want?” Faye said, watching him intently.

“Chocolate covered nuts, now that’s a blast from the past” He said remembering back to the end of the war, “We used to eat these to keep up our energy, ofcourse there was the standard issue protein packs but they tasted like moon dust” Realising he hadn’t answered her question, “I’ll take what you’re having” He finally answered with a smile.
