Shara nodded. “Once I’ve got things set up, I’ll be by to hang out before the CMO comes by,” she said with an emphatic look at her daughter.
Faye was far too tired to even object, not that she would have. In this moment she had almost forgotten about Leroy, but it didn’t take long for him to surface in her thoughts. Pushing herself tiredly to her feet, Faye stepped around the chair, surprised she was as steady as she was. “Permission to be dismissed?”

“Only as long as you promise to go straight to bed and sleep. Dismissed, Lieutenant.” and he watched as the two Calloways made their way to the door. As it slid open, Cochrane said ” Oh, and Faye?”
Faye looked back and met his gaze.
“You did great. I’m really proud of you.”

A small, if weary smile graced her face before she gave him a salute with two fingers.
“I’ll be along in a second,” Shara said, nodding for Faye to go on ahead. She’d catch up with her.
Turning back to Cochrane, Shara had a grim look on her face. “I think we’re both in agreement that no one can know she can do that, yes?”

Cochrane looked at the Commander with a puzzled expression. “Do what, Commander? A good job? I’m pretty sure that anyone who has worked with her knows that already. Let me know when your errands are done. Dismissed.” and he took a seat behind his desk as if this was just another day… which on this ship, wasn’t that far from the truth.
