Given the discovery of the piece Faye was able to move about and map over the course of about a 3 acre area several other similar readings. At the place where the first was found and dug up there were four other hits at a shallow level, while those farther away in one direction were deeper but more pronounced.

A grid pattern would help to map them out more clearly, but this search yielded a considerable mass. The scans were diffused in part by the radiation that she was scanning as well that would have at the ship level scan been very fuzzy - rather like a watercolor painting that was dampened and the paint spreading and murky.

For a few moments, Faye just stared out over the fields. One would be forgiven for thinking her attention had drifted off, but the exact opposite was true. She was focused so hard she was working through permutations of possibilities and watching them play out.

“Okay, so we need to cut through this radiation. I have some sensor enhancers that we could set up and manually move about to form a grid pattern. It would take awhile, but we need the enhancements here on the surface. The ship’s sensors won’t be enough just now and it would take quite awhile to reconfigure them,” she said to Kiama.

That would take a fair portion of the morning, but the weather was still pleasant. The time wasn’t so much the ‘work’ as much as the moving about the area to set them up. Ships stores would have them in stock.

Kiama nodded. “That sounds like a good plan. Where would you like to start?” she asked while looking at the read outs of her own tricorder. There certainly was a lot of ground to cover, but thankfully the weather was fine and it was still early enough in the day, that they should have enough time before nightfall.

Faye mentally overlaid the scan with where the pieces were and how many enhancers they would need to secure a better result. “Let’s start where we are.” She pointed in front of them. “There are four more pieces just over here and I think we can encase them in one grid square. Then we’ll mark that distance and repeat it over to there the big stuff is. That’s going to be the big guns I think. If it really is a ship down here, I’m expecting the larger portion of the hull will be there.”

She tapped her commbadge. =/\=Calloway to Manhattan.=/\=
