Walker made his way into the Officers Mess and nodded to the chef. He only had a few minutes between shifts, but he wanted to grab a cup of coffee, and see if maybe there was something good out.

Making his way over to the replicator he nodded to the Commander. “Coffee, extra strong.”

WO Darach - COO

Shara had lifted her mug from the replicator and after Walker’s materialized, she handed it to him with a small but searching smile. “Thank you,” she said ever so softly to him.

“Anytime Commander,” Walker said taking his cup from her.

Luke noticed as the two new occupants entered the room and was close enough to hear them order some coffee, he turned back to his chowder which was almost finished and hoped that the older of the two Calloways hadn’t noticed him. The last thing he needed was a grilling from the mother of the person he apprehended in a not so conventional way. Besides Faye was over it, Faye. the thought of her flashed the few memories he had of her from meeting her to the other night. This was a mess.

Taking a sip of her coffee, Shara moved into the mess and debated. It wasn’t necessary, was it? Well, maybe not necessary, but sometimes it was just a good idea to let people know where they stood.

Coming to Wyatt’s table, she pulled out a chair and sat. Shara didn’t say anything but she simply gazed deeply at the COS, though her expression was not a kind one.

“Commander,” Luke said breaking the silence he now knew where Faye got her looks from, if they could kill.... “Please join me” He added, a little sarcasm to try and lighten the mood but he half expected that her mood was not to be lightened maybe. “I am glad that Faye is safe, and cleared of all charges” He added, the silence and the stare getting a little too much to bare.

All too aware of his discomfort, Shara didn’t say anything for several moments before she murmured, “Mmhmmm.”

Harv stood up without a word and picked up the Commander’s coffee, walking off with it. He went to Darach and nodded. “Chief.” was all he said as he took the cup from the Warrant Officer’s hand and then jerked his head at the table of two. “Go. I’ll bring a pot.” and he walked off into the kitchen.

“Hey!” Shara said with a bewildered expression.

Chuckling, Walker walked over towards where Luke and Shara were sitting. “I’ve been told to join you two, may I?” he asked gesturing to the open chair.

A few moments later, Harv came through the door with a tray holding three upside cups and pot of real black coffee. “Fresh only in my mess, lady and gentlemen. You replicate that again, and you’re barred.”

Harv, Chef

“My only intention was to avoid interrupting you from whatever wonderful creation you were working on next Chef.” Walker grinned as he took the cups and set them down on the table in front of them. Carefully taking the pot from Harv he filled the cups for everyone, before setting the pot back down on the table.

Picking up his own cup he took a a deep breath, breathing in the aroma of the freshly brewed coffee. “Then again, if you are going to be serving fresh, I’m going to have to find more excuses to stop by. While replicated will do the trick, it is never quite the same.” Taking a sip he took the appropriate amount of time to savor the flavor.

Calloway looked at Harv with an amused expression. “I’m just not sure if I’m more offended that you took away my coffee in the first place, or called me a lady…”

Nonetheless, Shara poured herself a cup and took a sip. Of course it was better- that wasn’t the point. It was the principle of the matter. Replicators were not an endless supply of anything your heart desires and as such, even if it could be recycled, she winced at the waste. After all, she had been to this quadrant when replicators were only available on a ration system. Actual coffee in any state had been a luxury.
