The kitchen door swung open and Harv came through with a large tray. Coming to the table, he set down in front of Calloway and Darach a bowl of creamy white seafood chowder and a loaf of brown bread with butter. In front of Wyatt, dessert: Floating Island. Another bottle of wine and he turned to go back to the kitchen.
“You kids play nice, now. Any blood gets on my linens and it comes outta your pay.”
Harv, Chef
Shara almost commented that she would never dream of being that messy. Instead she just snorted with amusement.
“Dont worry Harv, I dont think it’ll come to that.” Harv knew how to break a situation down, the dessert looked amazing and in all honestly he was done with Calloway’s and their cryptic way of thinking. It did make him chuckle however that her opinion of him did matter, or at least in his mind. He wasn’t going to admit that though. He picked up the desert spoon and scooped out a chunk of the fluffy white centre making sure to pick up whatever it was on top off. The combined forces of the Calloways might very well finish him off, that or the sugar from the mouthful of dessert he’d just eaten. “This is amazing.”
Luke looked over to the others “You should really try the chowder, its good.” He smiled, play nice was his fresh new motto.

“Well it would be rude not to at least try it,” Calloway said with a wry grin, managing to not roll her eyes. What was she going to do, just stare at the bowl?
A spoonful. Then another, and Shara found herself nodding. “Faye was right. That man knows his way a pot of ingredients.”

At the mention of Faye he looked back up from his desert, “Your Daughter is very talented” He offered in a way of a peace offering knowing it would likely do nothing, perhaps he could at least understand one Calloway if not the one he really wanted too. “She’s a pain in my side but even I can recognise talent.” and an ulterior motive he thought.

“I know she is,” Shara said softly, though her pale blue-grey eyes were rather intense. She hadn’t hidden her pride for Faye since after the scene in the ready room. Back then it had been too much and she understood Faye hadn’t been ready to actually process her presence.
Walker chuckled before taking another sip of the chowder. Reaching over he broke off of a piece of the bread.
“She does know how to create quite a ruckus. Though from my experience, she usually has a pretty good reason.”
Shara snorted. “She’s been that way ever since she was a child.”
Taking the piece of bread, he dunked it into the chowder and took a bite. “This is really good. I wonder where we were able to get all of these ingredients all the way out here.”

Calloway grinned. “Ohhh, in my experience, a ship with access to a starbase and otherwise travelling about the unknown can find more than you think. Unusual acquisitions is a useful skill out here,” she said gesturing at large. “I do hope you’ll need less of those skills Chief than we ever did the last I was out here.”
