Moving with ease out of the turbolift, Faye took a meandering pace, letting him lead the way. She had to admit that she was rather curious what his space looked like. That and she knew that there were only a few things guaranteed to stop her mind from working so hard and she was very much looking forward to this particular one. “I’m a lot to handle, Luke. You sure about this?” she said, casting a teasing grin his way as they came to his door.

This time he laughed, she really did think extremely highly of herself he thought, then again she deserved to be in that position. “Do you think I made it this far without being able to handle myself and others…” he gave her a side ways glance, “Besides you’re not the only thrill seeker on this ship, I like the challenge” He stopped by his door which opened straight straight, he took her hand and lead her in. “Computer lock and silence door”.

She let him lead her in, the grin still on her face. Faye wouldn’t call herself a thrill seeker. Trouble (sometimes in the form of adventure) just seemed to always find her and it was a toss-up how it went. Connected by their fingers, it was different than back on The Hill where the energy had been almost desperate. This was far more pleasant.

Lukes quarters were not perhaps as undecorated as hers, on his desk was a fake aloe Vera plant and a mall A5 framed picture of him with his wife. A painful reminder that he once loved. Away from his desk a few PaDDs cluttered the coffee table and an the morning coffee cup still sat there half drunk.

The walls were bare apart from one klingon tapestry which he received as a gift and a picture of Abbey infront of the golden gate bridge in her cadet uniform, the picture must have been recent because snow littered the floor.

She scanned his quarters, taking mental inventory of things for later. There was a footnote that there as more here than she had expected, but she wasn’t entirely sure whay that was.

He also had an exterior view so beyond them space whizzed by. “Its not much, but it’s home” the rest of his quarters were set out the same as any other department head and weren’t undecorated. He hadn’t fully unboxed his things from storage thinking he was going to be around long enough to bother.

“It’s enough,” Faye said as she swiftly closed the distance between them and pulled him into a deep kiss. Whereas in the lab she had searching and curious, she already knew what was there and was eager for more. And for all that she had been at ease on their way up here, Faye let everything else go. For now she was just going to feel her way through this. The time for thinking was well and truly over tonight. Besides it was still her party night and she intended to celebrate.

It didn’t take long for Luke to get the memo as he felt Faye against him, he picked her up. Luke continued kissing her intently, deeply and passionately before he made his way over to his desk where he positioned her so she was sitting on its surface, in doing so knocking the few objects off and onto the floor. Continuing to kiss her moving from her lips, down her neck and behind her ear as he felt that passionate burn he was so desiring. His left hand roamed her waist tugging at the top she was wearing.

With easy graceful motions, the stretchy top slipped up and over her head and landed on the floor. Her hands roamed along his clothed upper body before she helped him in turn remove his. Leaning back slightly, her strong core muscles (yoga wasn’t just for flexibility, after all), she pulled him towards her, eager for there to be far less space between them.

Once again her heart rate was on its way down and Faye finally felt sated, like her body and mind were finally in sync. Rolling onto her back in his bed, Faye draped her arm on the pillow above her head, she just lay there contented, her eyes closed for the moment. “Well… I don’t know about you but I consider that a highly successful experiment,” she said slightly breathlessly.

Luke let out a breathless laugh, “Now I’m reduced to a lab rat, how lovely.” He turned over, the covers were over them but at an obscure angle so his legs from the knee down were uncovered and he had no pillow. “But If I was to say so, it was a success. I’m just glad we didn’t kill each other I think that would have been a crying shame if we hadn’t gotten to do this beforehand at least.” He’d never had the need for pillow talk, at least not in the last few years and here he was with Faye. Luke imagined that she was ticking him of her imaginary conquest sheet, then he quickly shot himself he really shouldn’t think about her like that.

“Are you going to be staying or does the casual only limit us to things we do to each other in bed?” There was a playful tone to his question.
