Shon nodded wordlessly to Commander Rollo, though he was obviously not certain enough of that fact for such a short answer to suffice. He appreciated the concern, and after all this he’d need to make an appointment with her anyways, regardless of if he had just bumped consciousnesses with the specter or not.

Finally Shon’s mouth moved to form words. “Sir, can you tell us your name? Do you know where you are?” Eyes open meant little after a medical emergency like that… Ensign Baht needed to make sure the man was not brain-dead before celebrating. He left the response to the captain to his department head, and although he was inclined to move to help Hone off the floor, he had to attend to the critical patient first.

Raye had been watching silently, having come in quietly to observe and not interrupt.

As the display ended and folks started recovering, she tapped her comm to reply to the Captain. “Sir, Anders here. I believe Tov has reacted to the..umm.. stimulus. They’re checking him now. But something happened.” Her voice, slightly frayed around the edges like she wasn’t sure what she wad describing, paused a moment before finishing. “It seemed like Tov’s energy self was racing out for Baht, sir. Give us a moment to sort this out, sir.”

=/\= Same thing happened here, Ms. Anders. Let the CMO know she will have another visitor shortly. =/\= came the Captain’s reply.

Unsure how to help, Raye stepped slightly closer to Zef. “Something tells me this wasn’t normal. Did you experience anything like this with them?” The idea of the energy beings being a bit more than mere nighttime spectres seemed more and more likely the more she watched.

Diplomat

OOC: Very sorry for my absence. I have been having cluster migraines for lack of a better term. Pain that just goes on and on and on.

IC:
“I’m not sure what everyone else saw, but I thought the entity acted in a hostile manner. Nothing like that happened between me and the entity I came into contact with.”

Ensign Baht stifled a curse under his breath at the news from the bridge. Had he just caused all three of their guests to disassociate from their bodies? Or was it something else that had just so happened to be well-timed… if that were the case, then it was by sheer luck that Tov was still alive and had nothing to do with their intervention. And if he did cause the collective shock… well, that raised all sorts of new and complex questions.

(Ensign Baht, Medical)

Tov spoke. It was not a strong voice but it held, and was with a simple question. “Where am I? I remember driving.”
- Tov

Ensign Baht failed to contain a sigh of relief. Tov was awake, alert. Some short term memory loss was to be expected. “You’re aboard the Federation Starship Manhattan, orbiting your homeworld. I’m Ensign Baht, and this is Doctor Wynter.” Shon wanted to continue with the pleasantries and make sure the patient was acclimated, but they had woken him up so violently for a reason, and there was no reason to delay now that he was awake. “Mr. Tov, you’ve been unconscious for some time. Just a couple seconds ago, it seemed as if… some incorporeal part of yourself was detaching from your physical body. Do you remember that, or did you have any dreams along those lines while you were under?”

(Ensign Baht, Medical)

Tov shook his head slowly. “Nothing,” he said after a few seconds.

The Captain’s voice came over the comms, his tone urgent and not happy. =/\= Cochrane to Sickbay. I don’t know what is happening there, but Mr. Tov has information we need. Sending you a map of the planet. Once he is awake, I don’t care how he feels, you show this to him and ask him what is significant about this site. We need that information twenty minutes ago. =/\= A few seconds later, a file arrived in Sickbay, and a PaDD near Baht beeped.

Shon twitched at the captain’s request. The stress of the situation was getting to him, and he had to resist slapping his comm badge to respond with a snarky remark. The impulse was unlike him, but these were extenuating circumstances. Shon had been through a lot in the last twenty-four hours, so he gave himself some grace for the increased agitation.

With a deep breath in through his nose to calm himself, Ensign Baht swiped the PaDD with the file of the map and held it up for Tov to see. “Does this mean anything to you, Mr. Tov?”

(Ensign Baht, Medical)

Tov looked to take a moment to focus on the screen. Baht could see his eyes moving over it as though looking for connections, then his face twisting in concentration. “That looks like S’aai Mar. It’s an ancient holy site, or so they think. Buried for millennia. Not many interested in that now. Why do you ask?”

Then he looked at Baht and the others. “Do you have anything for a headache?”
- Tov
