As the call came in, a Cardassian Hideki-class long range craft dropped out of warp roughly two thousand kilometers away off the starboard side of the Manhattan. Cochrane walked out of the Ready Room and looked at the Lieutenant on duty in the command chair. “Acknowledge that hail and give them permission. Contact the XO, Security Chief, Commander and Lieutenant Calloway to meet me in transporter room two. And tell Lieutenant Wyatt to prepare the brig for visitors.” and he walked into the turbo lift and scowled as the doors slid closed.
Less than a minute later, the doors to the transporter room slid open and Cochrane strode into the room. He looked at the Petty Officer on duty and said “S’ler, wait until their ship is alongside of us, then energize. Hopefully everyone will be here by then.”
