Meanwhile, Faye was getting her own errors. “I think it’s in the relay grouping, but bet you anything it’s one of mine. Damn Faulty things. Try to upgrade them and they become useless. I should know better really,” she said with a chuckle. “Keep it simple, whenever possible.”

Walker smacked his own tricorder a few times. Looking up he gave Faye a wry grin. “What, it helps sometimes.”
“Uh huh,” she said with a smirk.
“I’m getting this weird reading, almost like these relays,” he said pointing to two on the left, “have reversed polarity. Which should not be possible, unless they let the new engineers down here again. Can you double check to make sure that I’m not just getting a weird reading?”

Sitting back on her heels, Calloway pondered. “What if it’s not the relays themselves but the matrix they’re connected too. It’s possible that some sort of repair done in an adjacent area has caused a switch that shouldn’t have occurred. Have their been any repair teams down here recently? I’ve been clearly out of the loop,” she said, sort of able to joke about the fact that she had been ‘busy’ in the brig.

“What is it they say? Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth,” Walker said as he pulled a PADD out of his kit. “Last I had checked there hadn’t been, but these engineers have never been known to do things the correct way…
“Now when did you say these issues started to come up?”
