Lounge- Mentoring in All Forms

It was like the moment they had filed the Command Training program paperwork, things had gotten rolling fast. And while she was studying hard while off-duty (it kept her mind off Dag being in another quadrant), her official position change had come through about the same time as her promotion (the new pip made her smile each time she put on her uniform). And all this meant that she was now dealing with the extra variables that came with her adjusted purview.

What a relief it was not to have to pretend anymore! She was an Intelligence officer, with a particular skillset she was using to keep the Manhattan and her crew safe. That part hadn’t changed, but now everyone knew about it and it wasn’t a big surprise.

But with everyone coming back from leave, her and Alex hadn’t had much more than a minute here and there to chat and so today they set aside time to do so. She’d already had dinner, so she was nibbling on a chocolate brownie and had a carafe of coffee and two mugs for them to help themselves. Despite the fact that they might cover some work stuff, she wasn’t on duty and was in her civvies, with her usual cargo pant, boots and t-shirt ensemble. Today’s t-shirt of choice was a vibrant blue deal with white writing that said: I’m not Rude, I just have the MOXIE to say what everyone else is thinking.
