Daggum smiled and handed her a frothy yellow drink with streaks of deep crimson through it. “Masdey fruit juice for my lady.” he said with an inclination of his head.

“Looks fun!” she said over the next song that also had a fun beat. Sipping the juice, she closed the distance and slipped one arm around Dag as she shifted her weight back and forth with a smooth motion of her hips, dancing in place. “This has bene a pretty fun date. I’m glad you suggested we do all of it!”

Daggum chuckled and said “You keep swaying like that against me and the date may end rather suddenly as I carry you back to the room.” and he looked down and smiled at her. “I didn’t know you were such a good dancer. I am impressed.”

Daggum

Mindful of their drinks (and holding hers out to the side), Faye pressed herself against Daggum as the beat flowed through her. Head tipped up to him, she wore a delighted grin. “It’s a good thing I can keep surprising you. After all, we’ve got a whole life ahead of us.” And they did. the thought amazed, scared, and thrilled her to no end. Yet Faye also knew with all the mild chaos that followed her like her own personal comet trail, these moments of reveal, of surprise, would be the spark and the connection that kept them going. She’d gone a long time not sharing anything that was special about her with anyone and while much was already on the table, Faye liked to think that it was a good thing she still had a surprise or two up her sleeve.

“Oh… I have no doubt that you will continue to surprise me long after we are old.” Daggum replied with a grin. “Now drink and then dance… I want to see you move, Faye.” and he leaned down and kissed her softly before taking her drink and usund his hip to push her towards the dance floor.

Daggum

With a laugh, Faye stepped out as the music shifted to something a little bit slower but with a steady deep beat. Faye undulated her entire body till she reached a clear spot to dance and then spun on the ball of her foot. When she came to a stop she picked up the beat and did the similar pop and lock style she had earlier but there was more space between each move, more pauses, so it was like she hovered in between the beats. Yes, freedom existed in the dancing and being with Dag and it was the best feeling.

~Faye

Daggum smiled and clapped along with the beat, his grin spreading from ear to ear. A woman standing near him looked up and yelled over the music “You know her? She’s a great dancer!” Daggum just nodded, his eyes never leaving Faye, and then he said “Yeah… that’s my wife!” The woman looked back and Faye and nodded in acknowledgment and said “She’s a lucky woman!” as she gave him an ‘appraising’ look. Daggum still didnt look away from Faye when he said “Naw… I’m the lucky one!” and he then nodded once at her and moved out to the dance floor with Faye, swaying and moving with a grace most wouldn’t expect from one of his stature. He looked at Faye and smiled. “You are getting a fan club started…”

Daggum

Faye casually looked around and noticed people were watching her and heat rose to her cheeks, though lucky for her the dim club light made any obvious signs harder to see. Swaying in close to Dag, Faye grabbed one hand and began to dance with him. “All I care about is you,” she said sincerely. In this moment nothing else mattered. She was holding on to this last evening together before they were apart for what would feel like to be forever. Loving Dag wasn’t everything, but it was a lot and this week had proven to her well and truly that they were made for each other. Sure, it was bound to be rocky at times, but Faye knew that they had endured so much between the two of them that they were not likely to let strife get in their way.

~Faye

Daggum smiled and leaned down and kissed her… a soft, gentle kiss… but filled with promise. “And all I care about is you.” he said into her ear as he leaned back up. He danced with her for a few minutes in silence, his eyes locked to her even as the music changed. And as he stared into those eyes… they were the only two people in the club.
