Aevin was sitting in his quarters on the USS Galbraith, reading an old favorite novel. =/\=Lieutenant Aevin, please report to the Captain’s ready room.=/\= He sat up and straightened his uniform. I wonder what he could possibly want.

He stepped into the ready room and saw the Captain and XO waiting. “Lieutenant.” The CO said. “You’ve been reassigned.”
“Is that so, sir? Where to?”
“USS Manhattan. Under Captain Alexander Cochrane.” The CO handed him a PaDD with transfer orders.
“I will pack my things immediately sir.” Aevin turned to leave.
“Aevin.”
“Yes sir?”
“You’ll be missed around here.”
“Thank you sir.”

Aevin flew a shuttle to the USS Manhattan. Nice ship. He docked, and disembarked. He dropped his things in his quarters and went to the XO’s office. He pressed the door chime and waited.

It wasn’t often Shedda was in her office except early or very late hours, she preferred to be out and about on the ship, but paperwork called and it had to get done. She glanced at the door at the interruption, welcoming it to the the words the stared tauntingly back at her from the computer screen. “Enter!” The door swished open for the young jr Lt. Shedda stood coming around her desk offering a lime green hand. “Lt Aevin. Welcome to the Manhattan. Have a seat.” The office really had nothing too personal in it, yet. Shedda kept meaning to, but decorating just didn’t seem important. However what was different was the lighting, it was soft but natural and reminded one of being in the sunlight. There was a chair in front of her desk or to the side two more comfortable chairs with a table between them.

Mal’athar, XO

“Thank you Commander.” He entered and shook her hand, before finding a seat. “This is a nice ship, it’s been a long time since I was last on a Manhattan class. If I remember correctly they steer just a little bit on the heavy side.” He smiled slightly at the memory. He looked to be in his late twenties, but spoke like he was much older, not even in his choice of words but in the weight of his voice. He carried hundreds of years with him, and it was present in his eyes and in his sound.
