Calloway's Quarters- Wedding Planning

Posted Dec. 16, 2021, 3:56 p.m. by Lieutenant Commander Faye Calloway (Counter-Intelligence Officer) (Lindsay B)

In a previous life (not that that Faye would have ever considered life-long commitment before now), she would have simply suggested eloping and being done with it. No fuss, no muss.

But the Faye of now had had too few celebrations in her life and this one was too precious to treat as an ordinary day. The day to come was as extraordinary as the two people joining their lives together, and thus Faye was knee-deep in wedding planning, what little she was doing. She wasn’t going crazy or anything and wasn’t one of those crazy brides who insisted on everything being perfect. It was, however, a nice distraction when other stuff was weighing on her mind.

Reaching over, she tapped a few keys into the computer on her desk before returning to her padd and stylus. She was making notes and lists, and it was time for organizational man to do his thing. This wedding was going to involve a lot of logistics, what with people coming from all sorts of random corners of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.

Her keystrokes had initiated a communications subroutine she had created to do the work for her that would open the secure line to the Alpha Quadrant and to the Athena, specially to a large green visage she missed greatly. At least this time she wasn’t calling because of a crisis. She was good… well, as good as could be expected. But he was expecting her call. It was evening for him, late morning for her currently.

Tess seemed to sense her anticipation and nudged her head against Faye’s calf. Faye just patted the desktop and the cat took the invitation to join her, sitting watchful on the corner.
