Promptly at 0900 the following morning Shedda walked through the door of the officer’s mess, she’d already been up and working since 0600. A ship like the Manhattan never really slept and was only rarely ‘quiet.’ She had no idea what Alex had in store for her today, but had opted for a uniform jacket rather than the full jumpsuit, and her hair was tightly braided and coiled into a bun to keep it out of her face. She made her way over to their usual table and sat down. Waiting to grab food until Alex arrived.Mal’athar, XO
Alex came in reading a PaDD and looked up long enough to ascertain where the XO was and took a seat. “Good morning. I trust you slept well?” he asked as the door to the kitchen opened and Harv came out with a tray with coffee and breakfast sandwiches which he sat down without a word.
“So… any questions before we begin?” Alex asked.
