Kaia traipsed into Engineering, back in her regular uniform. It felt crisp and clean, but a little stiff. Well, it was a new uniform, since she hadn’t brought her old ones with her on her leave of absence. She glanced around, looking for her Department Head. She was fairly certain it was still the same man as before but it wasn’t guaranteed.Kaia, Engineer
“Kaia, welcome back.” Came Max’s voice from behind her and seconds later he was beside her, dropping a tool kit into her hands. “Walk and talk with me,” he said and turned again and began walking out the door to main Engineering. “You’re back on duty as of this moment. How’s your arm?”

Kaia’s tail lashed slightly behind her as she caught the tool kit and began following after Wynter. Her soft feet made little to no sound as she half walked half ran to keep up with him. “It’s doing well. I’ve made some adjustments and now it’s resistant to charge, so I don’t have to worry about using it like a normal hand!” she explained. It had been something she had worried about greatly in the years before her leave - her arm had been more conductive than flesh, which made it very dangerous to use in any area where electricity might be encountered. It was also clear that she was more open about it, seeing as the little furry glove was gone, leaving the chrome bare to see.
