It was quiet through the lab, as a certain Vulcan decided to work through the night. He found himself unable to sleep, and meditation was just not doing the job tonight. He had much on his mind and he just couldnt quiet it down tonight so he did what he did best. If someone were to ask about the time, it would have been around 2 in the morning ship time. Sovrk found himself coning to this general puropse lab alot to carry out some analasys of materials he had wanted to check himself. He trusted his crew, but sometimes he went back over things to test things for himself. It was one of those things that helped him think easier, as well as it got him away from the administrative tasks he had to do. Not that he minded them, but sometimes he just wanted to be in a lab working away. He had almost made the lab his own, though when it came time for the workday to get started he would give it all up. Only to repeat on another long sleepless night.

The Vulcan stood intron of a microscope carefully adjusting the focus to bring what ever he had on a slide underneath it to focus through the lenses. As he worked he seemed to dictate his notes. “Slide one came from a uninhabited planet that is currently unnamed. The sample came from a mineral depots found in a cave that descended a few kilometers below the planet surface. Initial analysis shows…” He pauses as he looks through the microscope. “This is strange… the rock like substance appears to be organic when observed under a microscope. I will have to send it to one of the labs for biology and see what their results were.”

Sovrk carefully catalogued his base findings as he worked on the first micro organism, that had the structure of a mineral, however scans gave the looks of an organic micro organism. He then prepared a small containment unit. He transferred the organism to the containment unit then set it aside, he marked it as something that would require analysis by the bio lab. He then prepared another slide carefuly the Vulcan male continued to work, he examined specimens after specimen.
