It had been a while since Tyv had been anywhere aside from the ship and the Holodeck training away and he had heard an opportunity come up for an away team down to the planet they were currently orbiting. Not wanting to waste an opportunity, he made he way to the office of the Chief of Security. He hoped he could be of some use in case there was an extra spot available. Upon arrival, he pressed the chime just in case the Chief was busy with anything at the moment.Ensign Tyv (Security)

Logan entered the office. He was carrying many data padds with him. “Ensign!” he said. He set the padds down on his desk. “Just the person that I wanted to see.”
“I’m thinking that I need your help on this away mission,” he added.
CoS
He followed his Lieutenant in and stood by his chairs waiting for the Lieutenant to sit first if he was going to. “Almost a suspicious coincidence sir, I actually arrived to see if I could offer my support for this mission.” He stood a little more relaxed than when he first arrived on board, but still stood at ease. “I believe I could be of use and it would also afford me an opportunity to become more familiar and grow alongside our comrades here on the Manhattan. I do apologize for my recent .. seclusion. It had been a bit difficult lately.”
Ensign Tyv (Security)
“Well, you are still new, after all,” Logan said. “ “We’re going down to the planet with missions that apparently are targeted for each department. Ours will be to evaluate their law enforcement agency and see if we can offer any help there.”
CoS
Tyv tilted his head, curious as to the reasoning on why. “Do they have an inadequate force, poor judgement, or ..?” Tyv scrunched his eyebrows not realizing the clear answer. They were going down there to find out why and if they could help, he had already asked before he could stop himself, unsure if the Lieutenant already knew. “My apologies sir, I would very much enjoy assisting them as part of the team, with your permission of course, sir.”

“You’re in,” Logan agreed. “I’m hoping that these people will be able to teach us a thing or two. They do seem to have done pretty well without resorting to warp tech.”
