IC: Creed cleared his throat to indicate him sitting next to Cochrane. Jack knew everyone was focused on Faye right now which must have made him more invisible than he normally tried. “I know I can sometimes blend into the backdrop… but I am here sir.”

Creed, XO

Cochrane looked at the XO and said “I was referring to attention, not the physical realm.” and he gave the XO a small wink. “So… let us begin. Mr. Creed, Shara… you two have the floor.”

Faye reluctantly moved over to the chairs and sat in the only one left- the middle chair between her mother and Creed. Great, just perfect. She gazed towards the captain but chose not to look at anyone right now. It was the best she could do.

Shara looked over at Faye and quickly shifted her chair so she was more on an angle and Faye wouldn’t feel boxed in. “While I know there are many questions that this conversation will bring up, some of those will have to wait. What you do need to know is that I am working with Rear Admiral Grayson to investigate a trend of some officers in Intelligence acting on orders that later prove to be false.”

Faye’s head whipped towards her mother. “No! No way! My orders are solid. I’ve seen the footage from the Odyssey. There’s no way that was constructed. That threat is real.”

Shara nodded. “You’re correct, it is. But that’s not the order that we’re… concerned about. And there is the matter of your assignment here not being known to Commander Creed, which in of itself could very well just be an overlooked communication issue. But my instructions are to confirm what is and isn’t happening here.”

The younger Calloway found herself struggling to breath for a moment. Her other orders. It wasn’t the first time she had been given secondary orders. But she was pretty certain Creed didn’t know about that bit of her assignment yet and the Captain had said no one else would be finding out. So much for that. Gazing at Ardashir, Faye didn’t hide her discomfort. “What do you know about my assignment here? I don’t think we’ve fully established that.”

“I suggest you cool the attitude first before we go further. First, as I already stated I am the ship’s Chief Intelligence Officer, along with the XO. That was the first reason I was concerned that SIA didn’t contact me when they wanted to run another op, only it appears SIA knows nothing about what your handler had been sending you. Then we ran an analysis of the information, which cross-referenced a secondary objective I have here… namely retrieval of weapons and technology that had been pilfered from and stollen by some individuals I have already had to interact with.” Jack said, he didn’t really care for Faye’s attitude right now, she was angry sure but there were protocol and rules. Wouldn’t be the first time if he had to kill a rogue operative and having survived two kill squads he wasn’t really concerned about how upset she really was. If she wants.” Jack paused as he took a breath, he wasn’t in the mood to play games and her interference was growing tiresome.

“What concerns me is the investigations, namely because I think your handler was using it to sniff me out. I wasn’t on paper CIO, but I run enough covert operations here I have felt someone was concerned about my presence. I contacted SIA to find your handler, only to find out they were no longer in their office… for some time it seemed. So I’m really wanting more information… because I hate games Faye, they get people killed and my job is to prevent all outside and internal threats from both this ship and the Federation.”

Creed, XO
