Pretha smiled and patted his arm. “You’ve done great. It speaks a lot to your abilities that you were sent here alone, or left, as an Ensign. Take pride in that. Remind me later, and I think I have an assignment for you once we are done here.” She smiled and winked at him.

“As to what happened, let’s leave it to them,” she nodded to the XO and the Diplomat. “So being new, I need you to bring me up to speed.” She smiled. “Tell me how you like the XO and how’s the Diplomat? Anything I need to be aware of?”

Pretha
Sec/CRIT

“I am fairly certain you can ask me Pretha… ” Ardashir said in a stern voice as he took a deep breath. He couldn’t deny he felt a little annoyed the Captain sent anyone over. With the Ensign and himself, there was more than enough protection. Ardashir was the ship’s XO as well as CIO, who had gotten into more firefights than he liked to admit. It seemed a little overkill to have so many people with tactical/security backgrounds in what was a smooth operation.

Leema Dane spoke up. “Necessity often proves to be a motivating factor. I see that for your Federation. For us it is curiosity on what can be done.” She glanced at Acosta who was looking speculatively at Pretha. “What you just did there.” She waved a finger at Pretha. “That is new.” Her tone had some wonder in it.

Meanwhile Herrik returned. He looked nervous being in the presence of more people. By appearance he was even younger than Leema. “My attempts at reaching RegCom Koryne has not been successful. Have you been able to reach your own people who are with him?” He leaned in to speak softly. “Those who report the findings publicly have caught wind of the accident. They will soon be looking for something to report. It is my .. suggestion that yourselves and they unite and seek some answers. I can accompany you; typically I am a spokesman.”
- Herrik

“Ensign, see if you can make any contact with our people… see if we can help out our new friends here,” Ardashir suggested as he wondered what was going on with the blackout, if that was normal or if they should worry more.

Creed, XO

((space for Ty))

Pretha watched Ty move off to try and make contact and she looked at the XO with a slight smile on her face. “With all due respect, Sir. Hard to get a read on someone by asking them personally. But since you are here. The CO sent me down to assist as guard for yourself and Ms Anders. I’ve read your file and am aware of your skills,” she smiled a bit brighter, “though I am guessing less than half of what you are is in here,” she held up the PaDD. “While I am sure you are more than capable, it’s perception that makes a difference. Having merely an Ensign to ‘guard’ you and the Lady makes it appear that we don’t care about our important people. I prefer that not be impression we give. Don’t you agree? A ship that cares for its CO and Diplomat are far more approachable. Yes?” She inclined her head respectfully.

Meanwhile Acosta turned to Leema Dane. Leaning in he whispered something to her. Giving her foot a tap with the end of his cane accompanied with a nod with his aged wrinkled visage toward the door he sent her off. Leema, leaving the files on the desk that she had brought stood up and quietly left the room.
- Acosta/Leema

Raye raised a curious eyebrow as the XO moved away to speak to the security personnel. To see Acosta move away as well got her a bit concerned. “I hope nothing is amiss?” She was genuinely concerned for all those who were suddenly acting bizarre in her vicinity. She nodded to his glass. “May I fetch you something more to drink, Sir?” She felt if no one else was going to be civil, she would be.

Raye
Diplomat

Acosta looked at Raye with an expression that bore some surprise. Recovering the aged prune faced Gravenian replied, “Why thank you, but no. It is too close to nightfall for me to have more.” He looked in the direction of the others. “An accident has happened and it involves a senior member. This will reach the reporting channels and they will be seeking some statements. As the day is coming to a close we wanted to start a plan to initiate the investigation in the morning. Unfortunately it also means a close to our first meeting.” He cleared his throat and looked at First Minister.

Biehl added, “I think we can say that this first meeting was profitable. It speaks of common interests but also great differences between our peoples. Which, I am hopeful, we can overcome.” He glanced nervously at Acosta. “How are your people who were injured?”
- Biehl and Acosta

Raye nodded. “I hope tomorrow we can speak more of what we can exchange for the betterment of both our people.” As the man asked about those injured, the diplomat rose. “Let me check with my Superiors and see if I can get some more information about the ones on the ship for you.” She nodded respectfully, “Excuse me a moment.”

Heading over to where the XO and Pretha were speaking, she kept her back to the others. “Any word on the injured from here that were taken to the ship? I believe we are done for the day. But they are concerned about their wounded.” She smiled to both, unaware what they had been talking about.”
