Faye surveyed the space and shrugged. “Not so much. Just to finish the irrigation. But I was thinking that we should create a locked off envionrmental program for the sapce and have it coded to only a few individuals. The last thing I need is someone deciding they’re missing their favourite tropical environment and asking the computer to up the temp a few degrees. I want to simulate seasons to a small extent but it does need to be somewhat level.”

Kiama nodded here and there while listening closely. She then said, “That makes sense.” Smiling broadly at Faye she continued, “I can’t wait to see what it’ll look like when it’s all finished. And if you need anything from me or if I can help in some way let me know.”

“Well, we can add it to the plan for sure,” Max nodded, then dropped the PaDD into the case at his hip. “It’s coming along nicely Faye, I’m going to head back to Engineering and check on the other work we have going. Let me know if you need anything further.” Giving the three a smile, he turned for the doors.

“Thanks,” Faye said, giving a half wave with her fingers.

Turning to Kaia and Kiama, she pondered. “So I need to test each section of the irrigation system and then start planting. You’re more than welcome to stay and help with that if you like.”

“I don’t have much experience with planting anything, but I’m more than happy to help in any way I can,” Kiama replied enthusiastically and with a wide smile playing across her face. “Just tell me what to do.”

“Give instructions, I can do that,” Faye said with a gleam in her eyes.

Moving over to one bed, Faye grabbed her control PADD and waived it. “I’ve ported the irrigation controls to a PADD so we can test each one. I’m going to start a cycle, and I simply need you to tell me if, after a minute or two, there’s obvious water seeping out of the tubing.” She tapped a few keys and started up the cycle for the bed. Once they knew the water all worked, they could top up the beds with more soil.
