It just so happened that the nature of Faye’s secretive work meant that she had spent more time in the bowels and jefferies tubes of the ship than probably many of the engineers. Not all, but definitely most of them.

As the turblolift moved, Faye was working through the plan. She didn’t have to go far in order to reach a shuttle, but going straight there was stupid. She needed something first. Ideally, she’d have made it back to her lab, but at least she had the constant presence of mind to lock down her work. Even when people eventually went to investigate, the level of encryption needed to get into her programs was beyond just about everyone on the ship. Just about. But not all. It would have to do and buy her the time they needed for this to play out.

Knowing they couldn’t track her movements through the ship, but that they would know where the lift had gone, Faye stepped out on Deck 5 and quickly went to her quarters. She was expecting a ship-wide security call anytime now, so she needed to hurry. Grabbing a couple objects from a hidden nook, she tucked them into her pockets and pulled out the pahser. She loathed the idea of using it on anymore of her shipmates, but if she had to, she would. She confirmed it was on Level 1 stun.

Tapping his comm badge =^= Yellow Alert, Phaser fire detected in the ready room. Secure Transporter rooms and shuttle bays. Security detachment to the Ready room and adjoining decks immediately =^= It was Lukes voice that announced the lockdown and then minutes later… =^=Wyatt to Sickbay the Captain and XO are down, I need medical to the ready room now! Lockdown the ship we have an intruder.=^=

Slipping out of her quarters, Faye quickly disappeared into the innards of the ship…

He knew it, maybe he let himself get too friendly with her. From day one Luke knew that Faye Calloway was dirty and now after everything she finally gave him cause to throw her in the brig, and after all of his trying to build a working relationship with her he felt a little betrayed but now he felt more focused than ever. Coming out onto Deck 5 where her quarters were located Luke had bet that she would need to return to them or her computer lab where two other officers were heading. With him now however was NE Wilson who trailed behind him trying to keep up.

Approaching the doors Luke didn’t even wait, he punched in his security codes and hoped she was in, and she forgot to lock the door.

The doors opened “Security! We’re coming in!” Luke stormed through the door phaser pointed in front of him and scanning the room, he motioned for Wilson to check the ablutions areas but when he came back shaking his head the security officer let out a guttural growl. “Where did you go.” He thought folding his arms if he hadn’t heard from the shuttle bay or her computer lab she must have retreated into the ship’s vast Jeffery tube system.

Faye’s quarters were neat and tidy, but also fairly bare. She didn’t seem to have a lot of personal effects, save a framed photo on the bedside table, tilted towards the bed, and perhaps a surprising number of plants tucked in nooks and corners of her place. She had a side table in a corner with some sort of cooking implement (a personal oven of some sort), and there was a desk with a small stack of padds. The computer was shut off.

=^= Wyatt to the bridge, Scan the ship for any life signs within the ships Jefferey tube system and close of all access.=^= He was going to flush her out like the sewer rat she was.

Elsewhere, Faye was mindful that she couldn’t just go anywhere now. The alert had caused a lot of things to shift against her. But then again, she wasn’t a computer specialist without having some tricks up her sleeve and regardless of the circumstances, Faye Calloway was not going down easily.

Creeping through the jefferies tubes she tapped her combadge. “Computer, initiate program Calloway-Delta-3755, authorization code Zeta-335.”

“Program initiated.”

Good. She waited for the necessary chirps to announce to her that the encrypted channel was open. =/\=Blue! Code Black.=/\= She cursed audibly for her Handler and made it quite colourful, as always. =/\=I don’t know what’s all going on, but they’re trying to arrest me. You have to help me. You know I’m good. I need you to help me prove it.=/\= Would he? And could he? How that part played out would determine whether or not Faye stood even a chance of making it this out of this mess in one piece.

=^= Attention all hands, this is the Captain speaking. There is a fugitive on the loose in the ship. Secure all quarters and initiatite boarding protocols. Anyone who sees Lt. Faye Calloway is to report it to Security. DO NOT ENGAGE HER. That is an order. Leave her apprehension to ship’s Security. Cochrane out. =^=

Cochrane, CO

For a moment as she moved through the ship, Faye paused and listened to his words. His tone said everything. It had to, naturally. And yet… it hurt. A visceral ache sat in her stomach, but Faye pushed it away knowing that it wouldn’t help her one iota. If she was to get through this madness and have any semblance of a life afterwards, she had to play this perfectly. But the knowledge that the crew would likely no longer trust her, even if and when her name was cleared… well, that was hard to take. She had worked so hard to push through all the chaos and the deep despair, and for what? She had lived with it before- this identity as a traitor- and she could do so again. But she didn’t want to and that was a very big difference. Oh well, the there were sacrifices required if she were to avoid seeing the walls of a prison cell for the rest of her life.

Coming across the next junction, as expected, it was locked. Pulling her nifty little tool out of her pocket, Faye sat back on her heels and accessed the jefferies tube control systems. Using her tool as a relay, she was able to access more than one junction at a time. Which was the only way she was going to be able to move forward. Because any junction she passed through would signal an open area of the jefferies tube system and it would be flagged immediately. Giving her location away was just lazy, regardless of the anticipated and desired outcome.

The access door slid open for her after a few more taps. But so did two other access doors on two separate decks. She crawled through quickly and and headed to the next access point with a ladder. Time to change decks. Again, two random areas within a few decks of her opened up. She chuckled to herself, imagining the expression on Wyatt’s face when he figured out what she was doing.
