Faye parsed his words but his question didn’t make sense. “I… well, I got the message out. I managed to get a ping letting me know it was received but there was no immediate reply. I’d check for more but kind of difficult from inside a cell,” she said dryly. Nothing about the situation was ideal, but wasn’t that why it was so seemingly dire in the first place. The others would have to have everything explained in great deal in order to understand where they were coming from but Creed at least understood the stakes. Or so she hoped.

“That’s all good and well, but we need part two now. In order to get you out, I need someone I can take in. We will need all the details you used to communicate with the handler, from there I can see what responses we get back… I will need to know… how to be you I guess.” Jack said with a half cocked smile. “What code phrases he expects, what details he might throw at me. What details you have no one replacing him would be aware of. The whole nine yards, that’s… the only we we get you out of this cell.” Jack said with a deep sigh. This wasn’t his way, but it was the way he was going to be forced to go down if all else failed.

“I will tell you what you need to know.” Rising to her feet, albeit tiredly, Faye paced slightly. There were details here that only made sense to her, but he might get it. She suspected based on what digging she had already been ordered to do that he’d get things the others will not. Stopping to face him, Faye sighed and gestured at large. “They don’t get it. And maybe when this is all done, they still won’t. Alex is trying to but I still don’t think the full reality of the position I’m in has actually occurred to him. Or if it has, he’s not willing to really consider it. But you get it. Because while I don’t know you very well Commander, I suspect you and I both know all too well what happens with other parties playing by different rules decide to meddle.” Faye stepped closer to the forcefield, it’s low audible hum reminding her that if she got to close, it would hurt like hell.

“This… group, this shadowy syndicate, organization, whatever ‘favdt’ name we want to give them is not messing around. If they really are behind my false orders, I suspect that that was true when I was undercover too. Which means they know everything that went down then, if only because of debriefing after I escaped the Tal Shair.” She quelled the flash of anger in her eyes and gazed deeply at Creed. “The others don’t understand that if I am removed from this ship, I disappear. Most likely I’m dead once my usefulness is used up. And we both know that someone has already planted the evidence needed to make sure I am arrested and convicted of treason against the Federation. You and I aren’t stupid, we know there will always be people who take things into their own hands at the expense of others and the values they hold dear.” She sighed. “I know you don’t have a lot of reasons to trust me, but for the time being you need to trust that I am innocent. I’ve done nothing * wrong, except trust that Intelligence had my back this* time. I shouldn’t be surprised that I’m getting screwed over right now, because it happened last time too. But, isn’t there the saying that goes ‘the devil you know’?”
