JT sat alone at a table near a large view port in the 2-forward lounge with a beautiful view of the vast emptiness of space. On the table in front of him was a PADD with some personal correspondence on the screen as well as 2 small glasses with a green liquid that was unmistakably Aldebaran whiskey. One of the glasses found itself situated in front of an empty seat to JT’s left as though it were waiting for someone to arrive, the other was wrapped in JT’s hand, but had yet to be touched beyond the occasional swirl motion he made with the glass on the table.JT read the letter on the PADD for what must have been the 10th time in the last hour since he had gotten it, even though his brain continued to be unable to process the message it contained.
JT stared at the liquid in his glass as it swirled in front of him, lost for a moment in the motion of the liquid. After a moment, his gaze turned towards the window and the open space beyond it.
“Here’s to you bud.” he whispered softly before lightly tapping his glass to the unoccupied one before downing the florescent green liquid and setting his now empty glass on the table upside down and returned his gaze to the stars.

Tralla had been on just a general inspection of her ship and found herself in the Lounge she saw her new Helmsman at the bar and went over “Hello Lieutenant mind if I join you?” she asked sitting next to him however opposite from the second drink she had an idea of what was going on and was trying to be respectful

“Of course Cap’n” JT replied gesturing to the seat as she took it. “Can I get you a drink?” he asked as he motioned for the server
