Mark was was monitoring the warp core, making sure the matter and anti-matter intakes were running properly, and noting any discrepancies for future follow up.Noticing that the large Engineering Bay was relatively empty for its size, he double checked the duty roster, and realized a lot of his team were on various ship inspections or maintenance ships throughout the ship. Shrugging, Mark started whistling a made-up tune to himself while returning to his work.
Suddenly more power was drawn into the warp core and Mark saw that the a warp field was created and the ship had entered into Warp 7. Eyebrows raised, Mark waiting for an update from the bridge…

A flurry of excitability surfaced on the periphery of the new CE’s vision. Young Crewman Angie Simmons practically bounced over. “Chief! Did you hear? We’re going to the Delta Quardant! Well… I heard from Ensign Owens who heard from Ensign Lee who heard from Petty Officer Lenkan that we’re on our way to the wormhole. Isn’t that exciting?!”

“Whoa, whoa whoa,” Mark said holding up his hands, whose face seemed did not seem to share Crewman Simmons’ level of excitement. “We’re going to Delta Quadrant? By wormhole? We’re not even remotely ready for that yet. I feel like that is something I would have been told.”
“But then again, we seem to be on route somewhere and no one has told me yet… Let’s see what’s going on, Simmons.”
Mark tapped the comm on his console. =^= Engineering to Bridge. Any updates on where we are going? =^=
