Tyrran nodded and returned his attention to the panel beside him. The ship was holding station and the probe was being delicately moved into their shuttlebay.
“Lt. Allance,” he said suddenly. “The computer system of the probe doesn’t look that sophisticated, but it may provide us with critical information to understand the probe’s origins and its mission. Do you think you can work out a way to interface with it?”

Mulligan, XO

BJ followed her to the turbolift. “You do have a chief science officer for this.”he whispered. “You might want to use him.”

Janzen

she waited until they were in the turbolift before answering him “Shuttle bay…”

The door to the turbolift whispered shut, leaving Tyrran in command of the ship again. He continued to look at the sensor data as it came slowly in while the ships tractor beams moved the probe gently into the shuttlebay. Tyrran nodded in satisfaction as it was deposited gently onto the deck.
“Secure the shuttlebay and hold our present position,” he ordered. There was no point in going anywhere until they had somewhere to go. “Commander Vaughn, are you able to continue your analysis with the internal sensors or would you be better served by rigging a portable high resolution scanner?”

Mulligan, XO

A few moments later, Simon entered the Bridge quietly and took his position in one of the auxiliary command chairs. He gave a glance up to the XO, and nodded, while keeping his senses open to see what he was sensing and feeling,

“I’m fine with using our internal scanners, Captain,” Wendell said. “I’m amazed by the sheer simplicity of the probe. I don’t think that it’s malevolent.”

He added, “I’m scanning for any possible power surges. And I’m rendering a 3-D profile of the probe.”

CSO

The sphere had shut down by the point, though the internal power cell was still operational. The 3D rendering showed nothing the original scans did not. It was a metallic sphere 2 metres in diameter with an interior sphere 1 metre in diameter in the centre. In the spacing between the two spheres were the components that ran the computer system and a protective forcefield that had originally been operational.

Wendell reported this all to the Captain.

“I’m scanning to see if the probe was damaged in some way. This might actually have been done before, and I may have missed it in the press of things. I’ll keep the power scan going at the same time.”

CSO

The turbolift opened and out stepped Tralla walking back towards her seat “Hail Station Event Horizon I want to ask if they can track this things course before it entered the wormhole!” she ordered sitting down in her chair and taking her place again

Tralla

Enger stood up from the center chair as the captain stepped off the turbolift. There wasn’t anything new to tell Tralla as the bridge had been in contact with her while the CO was in the shuttle bay. Karina moved to her traditional seat and sat a brief moment after the Captain had taken her own seat.

Simon looked over at the Captain as she sat. “Captain,” he said, giving a nod. He wasn’t sure what he could offer at the moment, but he wanted to let her know that he was here should she be in need of his skill or ability.

-Counselor Simon Arbogist

Anticipating that the CO was likely planning to retrace the probes flight, JT quietly plotted a course for the wormhole and added it to the ‘temp’ area of his standby list of quick load destinations. He often found it handy to have a selection of destinations at his fingertips that he kept the computer continually updating so he could execute them with a press of a button.

Helm

Enger waited for the comm officer to make contact with Station Event Horizon, and they would see what more they could find out.
Lt Cmdr Enger, XO

OOC: Going to assume that someone actually initiated the comm.
IC:
It took a few minutes to establish a connection because of course the signal was going through a wormhole and there was a complicated system in place to allow this to happen. It, however sophisticated, was not always instant.

Commander Sydney Pierce, Event Horizon’s XO appeared, looking confused but also curious. =/\=What can we do for you, Memorial? Did you find the object?=/\=
