Wendell was in his chemistry lab late at night. Officially, this was a General Science on deck 12. At least, that’s what the ships specifications said it was. But Wendell had modified it to be a state the art chemistry lab.All sorts of equipment was set up here. It was where he brewed his elixirs. He was adjusting the settings of some of the vats.

Karina was wondering the ship, it was late and it was a habit of hers when she couldn’t sleep to walk the ship. Tonight it was because the ship sounded different, it felt different and she hadn’t adjusted to it. It had always been the same for every ship she was on. It took her a few days for the ambient sounds and vibrations of the ship to become common place so that she wasn’t constantly wondering what that ‘sound’ was. She had stopped on Deck 12 and meandered the corridors. An interesting smell caught her attention and she stopped. Ah a chemistry lab. She approached the door, and it was unlocked so she stepped in to see what the science officers were working on. Chemistry, though not her area of knowledge always led to interesting results.
