As things started to move quickly, Mark tapped his communicator. =^= SInclair to Engineering. Track the jeffries tubes and environmental systems, and track the ship systems for anything out of ordinary. Let me know if anything comes up out of the ordinary. =^=

With that out of the way, Mark eyed the probe, which was still drawing the engineer’s attention. He headed to the weapons locker and tried get the XO’s attention and he secured a phaser. “Commander, I would like to keep studying the probe. It could give us more clues as to what is going on, especially as the lifeform - if that’s what it is - isn’t acting exactly like Changeling.”

-Lt. (j.g.) Mark Sinclair, CE

Karina passed Sinclair a phaser and nodded, acknowleding his silent request to talk. “I think that’s the best idea, Lt. That sphere/probe/transport whatever it is, obviously is able to contain whatever got loose. Just make sure you keep your partner close to hang, just in case. Get who ever and whatever you need.”
Lt Cmdr Enger, XO

=^=”Commander I want this thing off my ship As Soon As Possible do I make myself clear!”=^= came the captains reply before she apparently switched focus =^=”Lieutenant Sinclair I want you and your engineering teams to begin working on a way to stop this thing from getting through our forcefields”=^= The Captain added before the comm was cut

“Easier said then done,” Mark said quietly to himself. He wouldn’t be able to stop the creature from going through the forcefields until he knew how it went through the forcefields. Which would mean getting a scan of it when it did so…

(OOC: Who is still in this thread my character can partner up with?)

BJ went and obtained a phaser. He was never comfortable using a weapon. Not that he couldn’t; he just didn’t like it, “Okay who needs a partner.”

OCC: Sorry for not being more active. I’ve had a sinus issue for the last week.

Janzen

“You can go with me Cmdr. Tell me, if this is a morphogenic creature, what’s it going to need first. Maybe we can determine where it will go.”
Lt Cmdr Enger, XO

“Yes Ma’am.”BJ responded. “If it is that; our creature will need a stable moderate temperature; say around twenty degrees celsius.”

Janzen

“What do you think hotter or colder? Keep the shuttle bay at a stead temperature and change the temperature 5 maybe 10 degrees either way and lure it back in here? Try to trap it back in the sphere?” Karina tapped her combadge, =^=Enger to Sh’Zoarhi. Captain we are going to change the temperature everywhere on the ship except the shuttle bay. Try and lure the creature back here so we can get it back in the sphere.=^=
Lt Cmdr Enger, XO

the captains voice came back quickly =^=”Understood…Though are we making it colder across the ship or hotter?”=^= there was a sense of urgency in wanting to know which way they were going of course the fact the captain was an Andorian it would make sense that she would be asking that

Tralla

(OOC: I’m not sure yet who my character is partnered up with, but I’m assuming they’re back at the probe by now - sorry for the cut like that.)

As Mark returned to the probe, he crouched down again to study the object’s mechanisms. He concentrated his tricorder scans on the inner sphere, and how it was connected to the rest of the mechnaism, hoping to get some clues about the creature from that. Overhearing the conversation between the XO and Janzen, Mark made it a point to scan the temperature of the inner sphere and see if there was anything resembling a temperature control.

Mark also wanted to see if he could solve the origins of the sphere, but he would leave that for those working on the recording.

-Lt. (j.g.) Mark Sinclair, CE

That was a valid question. From what BJ knew it didn’t really matter which direction the temperature went. “As far as I know; either direction is good. They need a stable temperature to keep their form. Which ever direction you choose; I’ll leave to you.”

Janzen

Karina nodded and tapped her combadge again, =^=Captain we will be lowering the temperature 10 degrees every where but the shuttle bay. We want to shock it’s system. I also suggest that we put a command lock on the computer and environmental controls so that if this thing is able it can’t reverse the process.=^=

“Computer lower ship wide temperature 10 degrees. Lock out environmental controls to command access only. Authorization Enger Alpha 9 Omega.”
Lt Cmdr Enger, XO

“I’m assuming that while in the sphere, it was dormant,” Wendell said. “It was only aroused after we took it aboard to study the probe. And I don’t think that whoever sent that probe sent the creature with it.”
