Something that the new security ensign, Jodar, had said drew her attention. Before she responded she held up a finger indicating she’d be a moment. She tapped her combadge =^=Enger to Engineering. That shuttle, the Independence, that we pulled in from the ion storm, I want another once over on it. Check it for purposeful sabotage.=^=

=^=Yes Ma’am.=^= She tapped her combadge again and turned back to him. “Ship’s safety. If you’ve wronged the wrong Orion we can not be too careful.”

OOC: For anyone who wants to tinker with and figure out why the shuttle malfunctioned. Original post here: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/memorial/posts/129643/

Brianna headed to the shuttle bay to take a look at the Independence. =^=Commander, is there anything specific I should be looking for besides the usual fried relays?=^=. She asked knowing that it was usual for the engineering crew to go over shuttles when they had been in ion storms, and if she remembered correctly, it had been gone over, which made her wonder if there was another issue that they had missed.

=^=The pilot reports that there were several systems malfunctioning before he reached the ion storm. I want to know if those malfunctions were due to neglect on the part of the shuttle team from USS Farsight or if the damage was deliberate.=^=

OOC: Discription of problems reported by the pilot:
Before the Ion Storm:
The plasma manifold was picky and only wanted to operate if the ship was rolled 4.323 degrees starboard each 26 minutes.
The phasers were shot and the shields only would operate at an infuriating 49.993
The interior lighting would strobe at what seemed to be random intervals and
the main console would just reboot almost on the hour meaning that each time he would have to re-enter his flight path and correct for any drift caused by the reboot.
It was during one of these reboot cycles that the shielding shrugged it’s shields and warp systems turned off too
No backup power system installed

In the Ion Storm:
A bolt of electricity hit the ship and the conduits and panels sparked and exploded.
Communications panel explode and along with other things

Enger, XO

As Brianna went through each of the systems and ended up looking at the list =^=Ensign Brianna to the Bridge. This shuttle is out of commission until further notice.=^=She said as she began ordering up supplies to start effecting repairs. She worked methodically going over in each of the systems, she wondered how the pilot had even managed to survive.
