Wendell finally left his main science lab, still wearing his blue lab coat. He was famished. So he headed to the ship’s lounge.

There he sat at a table near the window overlooking the stars. He ordered a plate of three servings of chicken Alfredo. Along with some garlic bread. And a pitcher of ice cold Altarian spring water.

Already sat in the lunge was the Ships new Chief Medical Officer, he had been reading an interesting paperback he’d just replicated and enjoying a lovely fried Salmon when he noticed the Scientist enter the room. He was, of course, familiar with the man, not just as the Ships Science officer but also as the son of Gilbert Vaughn. They also had in common having both served as Chief Science Officers on the Aztec, Jack leaned in his seat and waved at the Scientist “‘Scuse me, Commander Vaughn?” He spoke in a soft northern Scottish accent. The tall Scotsman stood up and walked to the Scientist “I’m Doctor Grey, I was actually hoping to meet you, would you mind if I joined ye?”

BJ had been finally released from Sickbay. He had just come out of a case of the Andorian flu. He never wanted that again. It was difficult. He was unused to the dehydration. It was finally time to take time for himself. BJ entered the lounge for something to drink and some relaxation.

Janzen- Mission Specialist

Wendell waved both of the other officers to join him. He hadn’t interacted with the rest of the crew all that much of late, having kept himself busy with lab work.

BJ noticed Wendall. He came over to the table and took a seat. “How’s your day been?”

Janzen- Mission Specialist

Jack moved his food over to the table and looked over to Janzen and gave him a friendly nod as he sat down. He said nothing, allowing the pair to greet each other first.

“Long,” Wendell replied. “One of my chemists was attempting to synthesize this particular crystal, which is the only known compound that is capable of containing orientine acid.”

“Now, this acid is capable of burning through almost anything else. So she didn’t quite get the formula right for the containment crystal.”

“It burned a hole in the deck of the main science lab. Then it went right through science lab 2. And it started to eat its way through the floor plating of science lab 3 before one of the other scientists thought to isolate it in a containment force field.”
