After leaving the bridge Zubreana stopped by her office. It was the perfect opportunity to finally field test the new armor that the Captain’s husband had been working on. Once she had gotten into the armor she turned to two of her best officer and motioned them to the weapons locker then to follow her. Once they were ready she made her way from the security office a d toward the turbo lift.

Even after 300 years of life some things still made her uneasy, but she knew her and her team would keep the away team safe. Her and her team were the first to arrive, and she waited for the rest of the away team to arrive.

Zubreana Azon, COS

A short stocky man with a well-groomed mustache in a medical uniform joined the Away team next, he had a Medical bag slung across his shoulder. He was adjusting his tricorder attached to his hip. He nodded to the gathering away team and without a word took his place at the transporter pad.

NE Dr. Osler

Jean walked into the transporter room with a Engineering bag and tricorder. He saw the other two and nodded. “Bonjour”.

Jean-Francois Chereau,Engineering

Not long after Jean arrived, TeWhiti strolled in, his equipment was all attached to his belt around his waist. His natrually large frame made the room immediately feel smaller for anyone he stood too close to. “Hey,” He greeted, happy to be able to get out of the lab for a change and do something a little bit different.

Zubreana nodded to the group and gave her officers last minute instructions as they waited for the captain to arrive. She made a final check on the armor before taking her own place on the transporter padd.

Azon, COS

“What are you orders, Captain. What should we be looking for?” Fil asked.

Osler twisted his mustache as he waited for the answer. He hadn’t been briefed on any details of this mission so he was understandably curious as to what was supposed to go on there.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Tane looked around the room, wondering if there was a way he could guess what the mission might be about before the team was brief. There seemed to be a range of people from different departments though so it was hard to say. It seemed nobody knew what to expect. He wasn’t worried though, he had a belt full of all the science equiptment he could fit. He was confident he’d be ready for whatever was in store.

BJ waited for Jade to come down. He would be waiting to see what he needed to go.

The door opened but the captain didn’t walk in, instead Jade walked in, a phaser rifle slung on her back. She looked at the others in the room “I’m taking command of the mission.” she said simply but seriously.

“Now we are here I’ll give you the info you need. But first Lieutenant Azon I want two more security officers to accompany us. Make sure their armed with phaser rifles and normal sidearms. As for the rest of you if you’re not armed make sure you are before we leave. Even you doctor, where we’re going they probably wont care what colour uniform you wear.” Jade ordered her tone made sure there was no room for debate.

Jade waited for the others to get ready then she spoke. “We are to board the disabled enemy vessel. Find out who they are, what they where doing and why. As well as gathering as much information on them and their ships as we can. It’s more than likely may of the crew will still be alive and ready to fight. They have a very large bone to pick with us. so no one goes alone, no one goes unarmed and everyone stays in communication at all times.” she added.

Cmdr Jones (XO)

Jean looked around credulous. “Par don moi madam. But just who are you and why are you shouting orders like you’re some big shot?”

Ensign Jean-Francois Chereau,Engineering

Osler gave a nervous nod as he moved to grab a sidearm and attach it to his waist, Medical Officers were usually very finicky when it came to carrying weapons but he like everyone else he’d been trained how to use them, although this was the first time he’d used it outside a training room. He returned and gave the young ensign a startled look “Are ye daft” He whispered loudly to the newcomer, he had been in Sickbay when Doctor Grey treated the Engineer with his usual arrogant snark and dreadful bedside manner so he thought nothing of Chereau’s defiance then, was this some sort of continual thing he wondered.

“She’s a bleedin’ Commander and the first officer of this ship, she shouts orders cuz she is our superior” He knew the room was too small to whisper in but it seemed like the correct procedure. HIs mustache twitched slightly as he looked at Commander Jones nervously “Apologies, sir, He’s the Officer that was beamed over for medical attention” The older NE placed his hand on Chereau’s shoulder and patted it a few times and tried to smile.

Jade looked at the NE and the ensign and raised an eyebrow. Jade wasn’t one to be hash to her officers. However she felt this situation warranted a sterner approach. “Was a general lack of respect for his superiors part of his medical problems? or an inability to read rank pips?” Jade asked rhetorically while pointing to her clearly visible pips.

“We’ll discuss it when we get back. For now all i need to know is will these medical issue impair him on this away mission?” she asked.

Cmdr Jones (XO)

Osler looked exttremely sheepishly at the Commander suddenly regretting his decision to open his mouth “No sir, not that I’m aware of. Doctor Grey gave him a clean bill of health and allowed him to be assigned to the Engineering crew” He tried to be as quick and clear as he could.

NE Dr. Osler

“Very well madam. We WILL take this up later. And thank you doctor. My English is not so good. I hope my and yours translators ate working unlike the cmo’s. I didn’t see your lips ma’am. That was my fault and I have not the slightest clue who any of you are or your positions. But RHIP. (Rank Has Its Privileges) I will take what comes my way. ” With that he grabbed a sidearm and put it on.

“Oh Commander, is it? Is it wise to arm people who normally are not? I know we will need all the help that we can get, but wouldn’t they be more of a hindrance to us then potential benefits?”

Ensign Jean-Francois Chereau,Engineering

The NE manning the transporter looked up from his console, “Do you all need more time, or would you liked to be beamed over now.”

The voice of the computer spoke up, “According to my calculations, it would be better to get this mission done sooner than later, after all, who knows if that planet will be back.”
