After his meetings with the CO and XO JT made his way down to sick bay to get his med eval over with. He wasn’t fond of doctors so he hoped this would be quick.Entering sickbay he found the first green collar he could and walked over to them “Excuse me, I’m Lt Robinson, I’m here for my boarding evaluation.”

The man was a tall thin blond-haired officer. He turned around almost robotic in his stern movements. He studied the officer for a brief moment then flashed a polite yet empty smile “Indeed, have a seat” He indicated to a nearby biobed. He then waved to a nurse, pointing at the helmsman. The nurse nodded and went to search for a PaDD “You are part Vulcan, yes?” He asked out of polite curiousness.

Jt took a seat on the biobed and Nodded “Yeah, 1/4 on my mother’s side. Got most of the genetic benefits with out any of the emotion suppression nonsense. ” he replied

Jack cocked his head slightly and reached for his tricorder “Quite” He said as he opened the device, grabbed the wand and started waving it around calmly “Although I understand that the emotional suppression is more of a cultural and spiritual choice” His tone conversational “At least so it has been explained to me” He looked at his tricorder to view the results of the scan.

“Yes and no” JT replied. “Vulcans actually have very overwhelming emotions, Without Logic and suppression, Vulcans would have obliterated themselves. Many historians believe that Vulcan history is far more violent and gruesome than anything us humans have done and that they came much closer than us to self annihilation. Logic saved Vulcans the way the discovery of warp speed and first contact saved humanity. “

Jack nodded with comprehension on his face “Yes, It’s a shame so much history is lost”

Have you ever had any issues with your genetic profile?” He asked bluntly “Issues with your part Vulcan heritage?”

JT expected the question “Yeah, being that I am only 1/4 Vulcan its caused a few imbalances. Most of my Vulcan genes are dominant and as a result has caused some quirks. for instance, if you look deeper in my file you will see that I tend to get a copper build up in my blood that needs to be scrubbed every so often.”

Jack nodded and looked at his PaDD once more “Indeed, well I’ll want to see you for regular checkups if you have any discomfort make your way to sickbay immediately. Unless you have any questions, Lieutenant, you’re free to go”

JT nodded ans he hopped off the bio bed “Thanks Doc, if I have any issues, I know where to find ya”.
With that, JT exited sickbay and made his way back to his quarters.

Jack simply nodded wordlessly then got back to work.
