Relieved that McKnight answered, it was obvious in her voice despite trying to hide it. [O]We have wounded assets and need to get back to the ship. I think you all should join us as soon as possible. We need to see what we’ve figured out, speak to the soldier we have, and try and figure our next step.[O]

Ari CO

[O] Understood. Though you should be aware that we’ve only just been able to make headway in finding the source of the energy signature we detected. We had a few distractions over here. I could return to the ship and let the team continue with there investigation while I fill you in on what we did find out. [O]

Naomi paused in her reply, spotting the CO contacting the XO. She tried to glean more from the monitor, but she couldn’t get much more by simply looking it over. Uncertain if her efforts would yield anything, she glanced at the sides and touched about it. She sought a place for her scanner to connect with it. Personally, the woman doubted she would find one.

When Ari finished with the XO, the scientist continued their conversation.

“Are you positive that the shipping and receiving information would be kept there? I also not fully understanding why we need to know the source or how that will completely help. We need to know how they are doing it in order to stop it.” She was fighting to keep the frustration out of her voice as she continued her search.

“The offices might at least track the flow of the information and prevent guess work. IF you’re wrong, we’re going to be backtracking or searching blind. That’s time I doubt we can waste.”

Sadly no more information could be gotten from the simple information panel, it WAS just after all a simple digital sign connected to the elevator for floors. Nor were there any hook ups to external computer spaces for their scanners.

Kenny paced a little, glancing over at the conversation happening between Naomi and the XO. How much should they explore? Where should they go? How could he help? These were questions that ran through his mind, but the pilot said nothing.

Fleet, Helm

As he waited for the Captain to respond Jonathan looked over at Naomi. “That’s if we even have any time left to explore around here.”

Cmdr McKnight - XO

“Time is important either way. I just figured I give my view on things to make it easier.” Naomi finally gave up on searching for a port.

She straightened up then turned to the XO. “I’m not finding a port to jack into this. There’s not much more I can obtain from this to make the decision any easier. Now all we can do is sit back, wait for the CO’s and your decision.”

Ari nodded, despite McKnight not being able to see her. [O]Let’s get at least you back. Anyone else needing a break can come as well. We should probably consider a rotation or pulling back once we’ve got something. I don’t want everyone spending the night down here. We don’t have the food or water or shelter for it. And I don’t want anyone caught unawares. We have enough to worry about without rescues being a part of it. See you on the ship. Remind the others to leave comms open. [O]

Ari CO

[O] Understood Ari. I’ll meet you on the ship shortly. McKnight out. [O]

Closing the communicator, Jonathan tucked it back into his pocket as he looked over at Naomi. “Well I think we have our answer. Do you think you three will be okay down here? Find out where that energy signature is coming from, and if you get information on who is providing them with the extra tech, that’s a bonus.

“And keep a comm line open. If you loose comms, back track until you come back in contact again. Understood?”

Cmdr. McKnight - XO

“Understood. If we haven’t alerted anyone with our discovery of the lift, the base might be empty or working with the miminual crew. Let’s hope it’s the first one.”

She pulled out her scanner and set it for the widest possible range.

“I think if we are quick and careful, we’ll be back in no time. Who’s leading the way?” Naomi asked, trying to hide her nervousness. She kept her finger over the console and ready to press it for their next destination.

OOC: Just snipped up the post and waiting for you folks to decide where to go :P

GM CockRoach

“Good luck,” Jonathan said as he stepped back from the lift and towards the door. Staying just inside the door, to stay out of sight of anyone outside, Jonathan flipped his communicator open.

[O] Bonnaventure. One to transport up. Energize. [O]

Cmdr. McKnight - XO

“Thanks,” Naomi replied as she watched the XO head out.

She sighed then pressed the office level in, letting the lift take over. Due to the lack of response to her question, it meant she had to take the lead. Not the best choice in her opinion, but someone had to. Once they arrived she intended to access the main computers and collect whatever data she could. Maybe it might answer some questions they all held.

Nissek silently agreed with Naomi’s choice as she saw which button the Ensign pressed in. It would likely not be where the energy source was, but perhaps they could find something that would indicate where it was.
