[snip]Once the pair got underway with the tech in the scanner, they were thankfully able to quickly ascertain that the tech had not had any eggs or such dropped in the remains. Cause of death during the autopsy was also pretty quick to determine. Mainly that the various arteries in the neck had been severed and caused massive blood loss, coupled with secondary injuries and the like around much of his left head and shoulder.

Fletcher was relieved when scans showed a lack of eggs present. But as the rest of the details were revealed, he grimaced slightly. This was pretty gruesome stuff.

As they finished their gruesome work Rachel nodded sharply “Good work Fletcher, you close him up. It’s good practice” Her tone was flat, not without emotion but rather avoiding showing any in particular.

Fletcher’s work cleaning up and stitching the NE closed was thankfully without problems, and they were soon able to focus on other tasks after about 15 or so minutes.

Once he had finished, Fletcher put away the tools he had been using. With a somber and Delicate mood he had put the Corpse into one of Sickbay’s Morgue Bays. If any other injured crewmates came into Sickbay, the last thing the ought to see is one of the fellow crew mate’s dead bodies. Lord knows he was having a hard time putting aside the feelings that came along with the death of a comrade, to inflict that on the Crew was, he thought, not at all useful.
Jack was just about to change out of his Surgical garb when he stopped a moment and thought: it would probably be wise to see what the CMO had lined up for him next. He was worried about wasting time be changing.
Jack found the CMO. “That is taken care of, Ma’am. I’ll be sure to complete a full post-mortem report at the first opportunity. In the meantime, is there anything else I can help with?”
