“Yes, let’s do that,” Kaylee said, smiling. She looked over to Stark. “What do you say my friend? Would you like to be inducted into our secret tea and desserts society?” She gave him a big grin.

“I would be honoured” he said sincerely, “providing that my company would not in any way inhibit the fun you would have had if I was not present”. It was a rare moment of seriousness for the dark Caitian, but being as these were two people near and dear to him he wanted only what was best for them both.

“Nonsense,” Ghubari said emphatically. “We wouldn’t have asked if you were not welcome. I mean, seriously, when have you ever known me to do something simply out of politeness? Respect yes, but politeness?” she said with a slight grin.
“Point taken, invitation accepted, gratitude given” Stark smiled and bowed slightly to the two.
Gazing at the piano, Koraia reached out a ran a dark hand along the edge of the top. “Is it possible to simply feel content?” she asked to both of them but no one in particular. “Some days I wonder. Or maybe it’s just the kind of person I am and I’m meant to forever wander searching and never quite finding. It’s not unhappiness though. I’m very grateful for what I have. It’s just…” She trailed off, unsure exactly how to frame the thoughts in her head- thoughts she normally only shared with the stars.

Stark placed a paw on her shoulder, “Contentment for you is to wander and search. The journey for you will never be over because you do not wish it to end”. At this point he gazed into her eyes so she could see herself reflected in their inky depths. “What you have lacked until recently were those who would journey with you”.

Ghubari gave him a lopsided grin. “You know me too well.” She moved her hands away from the keys and placed on on the paw on her shoulder. “What would I do without out? Actually, never mind. Perish the thought! I insist on going first. Captain’s prerogative!” She was joking, of course, but there was a part of her that was serious.

Kaylee smiled, then did her best to stifle a yawn. “I think the wine is actually making me sleepy,” She said. “I believe I will bid you two dear friends goodnight. Let’s compare schedules and set up our tea very soon.” She reached over and gave Stark a gentle pat on the arm. Then as she moved past Ghubari, she slipped her arm around the Captain and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “You’re never quite alone,” Kaylee said softly, giving her friend a smile. Then she nodded to them both and made her way towards the door.
