Past and present Laraan still stood there hand in hand. It was somehow a comforting feeling in all this crazyness. Neither of them reacted to R’han’s snide remark, they were used to it now. So how were they going to re-integrate themselves, and did they even want to? Both had felt the rush of their powerful combined channel, there was so much possibility there. They both acted oddly synchronous… maybe becasue they were both in sync with their mutual energy. They both looked at the Starks and then at each other. Neither needed to say a word, for some reason they both knew what they wanted to do. Slowly, they made to leave the bridge.

OOC: Literally no idea what to do with Kaylee in this situation. Every post is her just standing around. Feel useless.

OOC not at all :-)

OOC: I have a plan, but Kaylee still has the phaser and was supposed to be keeping an eye on Pierce, just in case he wasn’t as unconscious (dead?) as it appears. ~L

Kaylee looked from one Ghubari to the other. “What would you like me to do, Captains?” She wondered what her counterpart might be up to at the moment. Probably still down in the cargo bay. She wondered if the cat/woman had shown up with the changes in the timeline.

As if on cue Meridyth appeared from the turbo lift. Nodding to Michail’s greying visage on the screen she looked at all those assembled. “You’ve done us a great service and now have been offered a great reward. In these situations normally we handle this in a different way and only one set of memories is retained”. She looked seriously at Laraan and then at the others. “Reintegrating bodies is a tried and true technology which has no lasting repercussion, however reintegrating memory engrams is another animal entirely. Some will find it extremely disorientating and will need to talk it through. then there are those who’s other selves died on the planet below and must somehow come to reconcile this memory. Survivors guilt, time psychosis, the list of complications go on so you’ll be forgiven if you see this as a curse rather than a gift”.

“Lovely,” Current Ghubari muttered, eying her counterpart. She lifted the device in her hand that would allow people to reintegrate and knew that a decision would have to be made.

Continuing Meridyth became even more intent, “The Aegis owe you a great debt but they too have a Temporal Prime Directive which is being walked all over here. Very shortly the Time Nexus will close and many of your crew will be standing in a city where they will be viewed by members of the Aegis public as an anomaly because in their eyes as the general public you will be the time anomaly not the saviours of their early days. We have an operative down their waiting to assist you in recovering your people without diplomatic incident. I’d suggest a team go down to facilitate this the instant the bubble recedes.”

=^= “Madison to Transporter Room, I need you to beam down some silicon gel now.=^=

Past Ghubari gave the order for someone to send down the gel. After all, there were times to ask questions and this wasn’t really one of them.

Next came a set of instructions complete with scans of Rxzyth as to how and why the being needed to be “carved” up to save the day.

Current Ghubari turned to her CDO. “Kaylee, I think you should go down. I’ll have R’han and Konral meet you at the Guardian. You’ll be in charge of meeting with the operative and making sure the rest of the crew makes it back up so we can all re-integrate,” she said, wiggling the device in her hands. Past Ghubari gave a nod of approval for the plan.

“Very well,” Kaylee said, nodding. She walked over and handed the phaser to the current Ghubari. “I’ll head down to the transporter room right away.” Turning on her heels she made way for the turbolift.

Tapping her commbadge, Current Ghubari knew it was time to make all this come together. =/\=Koraia to Madison, Grey, R’han and Vander. Commander Baxter is going to be beaming down to the Guardian site to meet with an Aegis operative to facilitate the removal of our people from the planet without causing a diplomatic incident. Get the crew ready to return to the ship and offer her any assistance needed. Once everyone is back, each person will need to re-integrate themselves. Lieutenant Grey, make sure to identify anyone who is not mobile so that you can have help from the rest of the teams down there. Stick together people and good luck. We’ll see you all soon. Koraia out.=/\=

=^=What reintegration do you speak?=^=

R’han

=/\= Between yourself and your past counterpart still on the Athena from before we evacuated the ship. Both versions can’t exist. We have a device that will integrate one version into the other.=/\= There was a pause before she continued. =/\=A choice will have to be made,=/\= Koraia replied.

Stark looked at Stark and sighed “There goes an endless array of possibilities that we could have accomplished together”. The second Stark grinned viciously and then looked at Laraan and Laraan and commented “Ummm, due to the uniforms… I’m not sure which one is my wife and which one is yours…”.

=^=Is that necessary, Temporally speaking the aberration should cease to exist when the time line is rectified eliminating the need for a reintegration. If not why can’t there be two of us… =^= He didn’t ever think about having a clone, but two of him is a nice security system to an un-expected illness or death.

R’han

Bridge R’han turned to the Captain. “His, my logic is impeccable.”

R’han

“Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out here in this instance. Sadly for everyone. But, uh, it’ll be one hell of an entry in our memoirs,” Ghubari said lightly as if they might be talking about the weather rather than eliminating a version of themselves that should never have existed.

Fl. Captain Koraia, CO

“That’s a shame. With two of me the chances of me taking over the universe is doubled.”

Stark looked at Stark, “So which one of us is going to right the report” they grinned in a feral way at each other and began to engage in a rather inappropriate game of paper, rock, scissors.

The turbo lift opened and a striking young woman with purple locks of hair strode our confidently with a young engineer in tow. Looking around she looked at the dead body of Pierce on the ground with a certain amount of satisfaction briefly touching his hand and then picked up the discarded servo after first concentrating for a moment on the hand she used to pick it up. A couple of twists and turns on the device and she casually pocketed it in her light grey jumpsuit.

Jayden walked on the bridge and immediately saw his counterpart, who had remained silent the whole time. He looked at his time twin who just shrugged. He walked over to him and stood beside him. The new Jayden whispered to the older one.

“Normally this would freak me out, but for some reason it isn’t.”

Jayden nodded, “Yep.” he replied quietly.
