It was still a risk, since she couldn’t see the whole room and had no idea what else might be there, but Janna was now committed to this plan of action. Reaching forward, she tried to see if her hand and arms could fit in the crack and if there was any give that might allow her body passage.

The panel moved enough to allow her body to fit through. It was a tight fit though because the panel wanted to move back into place. As she was about to peal the panel back to get through, a voice suddenly spoke behind her.

Her finger had slipped through and gotten a grip on the panel and Janna could tell that it was going to require a great deal of energy and strength to get through the space that panel would create if she could open it enough.

“Going some where?” A male voice said with amusement. It sounded like Kivon.

Janna gasped and spun, her fingers suddenly releasing the panel with a jolt.

Her vivid green eyes stared at him with utter anger. “Let. Me. Go!” she demanded. “I don’t know what sick and twisted game you think you’re playing, but I want no part of it,” she said with a shake of her head, her blond chin length curls swishing to and fro.

Kivon just smiled, it was an evil smile. The smile of one who didn’t care who he hurt or what he did. He stared at her for a moment before shrugging his shoulders.

“If you want out, fine. Good luck.” He smiled again, then leaned back against the back wall. “That’s the way out.” He folded his arms across his chest and just smiled.

She didn’t know if she could be injured or even die in this place, but her assumption was a yes to both. Eyeing Kivon critically, Janna’s piercing green eyes shifted to a gaze of curiosity. “And what happens when something bad happens to me? You will get, what? Satisfaction, peace? What is it you’re hoping for Kivon?” She knew he assumed there was something between her and Orvos, but… that was crazy! Wasn’t it? Her being intrigued by him was no more than a friendly curiosity about a fellow crew mate.

Kivon just shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. “You have fun.” He then leaned back and disappeared through the wall.

Slightly furious but also knowing that whatever going on here was not at all simple, Janna turned away from where Kivon disappeared. Stanidng before the crack that she could fit through, Janna calmed her entire being and breathed deeply as she tried to move through the gap into the other room. Good kitty, she thought softly, as if the tiger might be able to sense or hear her. Tigers weren’t necessarily going to attack right away and if she wasn’t threatening, then maybe she could find another pathway and more info about this place.
