Beside her, Konral’s even breathing told her he was asleep. She smiled to herself slightly and rolled over, letting her weary body finally succumb to rest after a long day.

She blinked her eyes and gazed at the unfamiliar bar setting. The dim light was expected and made her squint slightly to see deeper into the corners of the place. Where was she? With a shrug, Ghubari moved up to the bar and slipped onto a stool, crossing her long legs at the knee. Resting an arm on the bar top, she was grateful her black shirt had long sleeves as she felt the thin fabric stick ever so slightly. She tried not to think of what that stickiness might be and simply craned her neck to gaze down the bar to see where the bartender might be.

“Hello?” she called out, her thickly accented voice sounding impatient.

There was movement beside her and she startled slightly to find someone taking the stool next to her. Her empathy hadn’t detected them, which was unnerving, but that feeling evaporated quickly as she realized who it was.

“Antin?” He just smirked and winked at her.

The bartender finally showed up and Antin tapped his first two fingers on the bar. Two highballs appeared, one of which her former XO slid to her. She picked up the drink and sniffed it. Whatever it was, it was strong. He held up his glass, keeping it to himself. She understood. She held up her glass too in a silent toast and took a sip. It went down smoothly and left a deep warmth in its wake.

Setting the glass down, she glanced in his direction but he was gone, and so was his glass. Slightly unsettled yet again, she simply picked up her drink and finished it off.

Her heart was racing and Ghubari woke suddenly, though remained prone. That was… strange. Why Antin should suddenly appear in her dreams, she didn’t know, but his brief appearance made her smile. Wherever he was, the memory of the man left her as warm as the drink shared.

OOC: Oh this is sweet as pie. :)

OOC: It felt right.

IC: Konral shuffled a bit, he felt Ghubari stiring. It wasn’t the normal time he was sure, but she didn’t seem in duress either. Shifting sides he rolled over to hers, wrapping his arms around her he pulled her in tightly. Pleasant dreams? he asked softly to her, letting his head rest on her shoulder as he let his body melt into hers.

Ghubari nestled into, letting his warmth and strong arms comfort her. In a way. Strange though. Just very… random. Antin appeared and we shared a drink, like we would have before. I don’t know what he and Lyra are up to right now, but remembering him makes me smile most of the time, so I guess in that way it was a pleasant dream.

I had been thinking of him and Lyra for awhile, I do wonder how they are though sometimes. It’s weird to have someone swoop in your life, leave such an impact then learn to go on without them. Still, they are always here in a way. he said as he pulled her closer before giving her a soft kiss on her neck.
