“Agreed” Stark said succinctly, the last thing he wanted was to make matters worse. He leant over her supine form and took her hands with his paws and placed his forehead on hers. T’Pon’s father, his mentor, had taught him much about Vulcan meditation and the essence of mind melding. He had no psychic talent but Laraan had shared energy with him many times so he concentrated simply on trying to make his own energy more readily available to her, more accessible somehow. He knew it was risky because in her present state she could unconsciously drain him dry but then he’d rather die saving her than live without her anyway.

The moment he touched is forehead to hears and opened himselft to the energetic bond between them, a blast like a lightning stroke hit his forehead. It was invisible, the machines didn’t register anything, but the reaction was just like being hit by lightning, only without the skin leisons.
Stark was thrown back and blacked out on the floor. Laraan remained the same.

OOC: In contrast to Laraan, Stark will regain his consciousness swiftly, scans show similar than the impact of a psychological shock, but the effects fading swiftly, since Stark’s physique is a lot stronger also than Laraan’s. He will come back with a very bad headache though. Laraan’s medical file has a note that if there is a unknown medical condition with her, her mothter should be contacted.
Benjamin stood behind the man watching the monitors as the strike happened, he barely had time to react as the Catian was thrown back. Ben quick as a whistle rushed to grab the Intelligence officer but the force was greater than he anticipated and he was thrown back as well, landing under the unconscious man, softening his fall with his own body. Lying on his back Benjamin let out an exasperated sigh “Could someone please scan the Commander, I’d rather not have to explain to him why he is lying on the Chief Medical Officer” He said in a slightly growling manner to his moderately amused staff and someone immidiately started scanning the Catian. At the same moment a Nurse of his having read more completely marked the contact details in her file “Dr. Grey, you should read this” She said looking down at him “Uhh.. well when you’re back up that is.”
