The huge pool was very quiet this time during the night shift. Most of the crew was asleep and the huge room holding the pool was empty. Laraan padded in on bare feet. The pool belonged to the gym area, which had holoprojectors so the EMH could appear should there be an accident. Not a lot of people seemed to realise what that meant.
Truth be told, there were times when she missed her home planet Heel. The temperature here was almost as high as at home and the humid air reminded her a bit of home.
“Computer start holo-projection of Heleen night sky.” she said. The Computer beeped an affirmative and the ceiling above the pool changed into a canopy of huge leavy jungle-trees. Between them the 6 moons of Heel and countless stars were in the night sky, throwing a soft glow into the room. THe songs of night birds and a light breeze ruffling the large leaves lazily sounded and all this was reflected in the waters of the large pool.
Laraan took a deep breath and let the towl drop, standing there fully naked. Of course for human eyes she wouldn’t look naked at all, the red, filigree tattoo-like swirls and designs covering every inch of her fair skin, except for her face, were even more in contrast on her skin by the soft glow of Heel’s moons in the night sky.
Oh how wonderful it was to be without human clothes again, feel the air on her skin, the warmth and soon the soft water. She stepped to the edge of the pool and dove gracefully head-first into the water.

A dark shape padded into the room and looked up at the night sky. “Nice” he said succinctly memories floating into his mind, some nice, some nasty. He stood and let all his senses reach out, sight, smell, hearing, touch, taste, together they combined into something significantly more than they would be alone. He stood statue still and let the universe come to him in all its forms.

OOC Hope you don’t mind some company?
OOC: Of course not :-) I thought I’d start this and see who/what happens ;)She dove deeply, it was easy for her to hold her breath for a long time, longer than a human could, because she had two hearts that kept distributing the oxygen in her system for a longer time. She had always loved swimming and diving, like the human fairy-tale mermaid, she moved through the water by moving both legs in unison, like a tail. It felt like gliding, almost like flying and because she had no body hair she was actually quite fast.
She came up for air from the lowest point, gathering speed on her upward motion and actually managed to do almost a little jump in an arc at the top, letting her body fall back into the water as if falling backwards into a soft bed, arms outstretched. A wide smile was on her face and her eyes were closed.

He knew she’d be aware of his energy in the room and not wanting to break the perfection of her fun he continued to stay stock still blending with the darkness. To enter the water yet felt to him like he would sully it somehow and ruin the moment. He would wait until a better opportunity presented itself before adding ripples of his own.

When she came up for air next, she felt a familiar energy field and felt more than saw him standing in the shadows. She chuckled and turned to him. “Do Caitians swim?” she asked, not raising her voice, she knew he could hear her.

ICStark smiled, cartwheeled, flipped into the air came down into a dive roll and used the momentum to go up high and come down with hardly a splash in a near flawless dive. He surfaced face to face with the diminutive Heleen and winked “Caitian’s swim with style” he said dead pan, “But it does tend to give us a serious case of split ends if it’s chlorinated”.

Laraan was yet again amazed at his grace and ease of movement. She gave a multi-layered laugh, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Well, you know I love the feel of your fur and will happily comb it out later. But for now, let’s have some fun.” she said and dove, pulling him down under after her.
Due to her two hearts she could hold the air for a longer time than a human, as the oxygen stayed longer in her system and she was going to find out how that compared to Caitians, so she dove gracefully below the surface in a circle around Stark, having no trouble to keep her eyes open below water.
