The scan of the immediate area came back negative apart from a few die hard chroniton particles still clinging to the Athena’s hull. The communication was also standard and contained nothing that would create suspicion at this time.

=^=It would require the Captain or an Admiral for me to order a general recall to duty. Presuming that occurs in a timely manner, I would estimate 2-4 hours depending if we were willing to leave crew members behind who were unable to heed the call.=^=

Our long range sensors are picking up a strong source of neutrinos, ionised hydrogen and theta radiation along with quantum level fluctuations. We can divert other ships in the area to it but it popped up so suddenly we’re concerned it might be a short term effect so we’re asking the Athena to do a flyby at your earliest possible opportunity being as you can get there faster. =/\=

In her ready room, Ghubari’s face shifted slightly. Was this good news, or not? She wasn’t sure, and she wasn’t sure if her crew was fully ready to delve into the deep end again, but this was Starfleet and this was the Athena: life waited for no one. =/\=Send a confirmation that we’ll check it out. Stark arrived wordlessly on the bridge. Monitoring comms was part of his purview and he’d started the journey here the moment the conversation had started.

He looked about “Have all chief’s check their duty rosters and report every fifteen minutes in regard to who is present and who is AWOL.”

Only 5 min later Laraan entered the bridge, dressed, for once, in her full uniform. Something she never did when she held her sessions, as it made the crew more at ease when they did not see her pips. She had a very serious and concentrated look on her face and just silently nodded to all those who saw her coming in.
Stark and probably Ghubari would know that she was concentrating on maintaining her own control, something that became easier the longer she did it.

She went to an auxiliary station at the back, fired it up and coded it to display all coms and sensor readings.
“My department have all reported in.” she simply said. True, her department was tiny, but she did have one.

The coordinates that had been fed into Athena’s Navigation Console showed the coordinates were in the direction of the Ion Nebula.

Luka stepped onto the bridge soon after Laraan, the fur on her face a bit of a mess. She ran her hand over her forehead and along her cheeks in an attempt to tame it a bit, then sat down next to Ghubari. “Well, this is certainly a fascinating adventure,” she commented softly to the Captain. “I’m quite curious to see what my first mission as an Executive Officer will be like.”

She settled back in her chair, which had been specially fitted with a gap near the bottom for her tail, receiving the notifications from the department heads one by one that all of their staff had reported in. Soon enough, it seemed as though there were only one or two officers or crew-members who hadn’t reported for duty.

R’han looked at the XO. “XO has the bridge,” He popped out of the Captain’s chair. “The captain is informed and we are prepping for immediate departure.” He turned to face Laraan for a moment. “So far only the counseling department has reported all hand on board.”

Laraan winked at R’han, or at least she tried to emulate the human gesture, which ended up in a funny wrinkling of her left cheek.
“Mine’s the smallest, so it was easy.” she sang.

Liam’s hand found his badge comm then pressed it. He had double checked his charts and ensured they were accurate, every member accounted for. There was slight worry some would’ve been lost in the flood of personnel rushing back onboard, but that didn’t appear to be the case now.
