Orvos knew he would need to share it soon enough. Perhaps he had done so way too late? He was not convinced of that. Adam had been an integral part of the command team. And he felt, strangely, the captain should know about him.

He donned a blue civilian outfit, typical of his homeworld, but nobody on the ship knew that. Little was known of his homeworld. And before long, he found himself pressing the door chime to the captain’s own quarters.

“Enter,” she called out, her deeply accented voice sounding focused.

Inside, Ghubari and Konral’s quarters were most definitely a strong blend of the two of them, with her tribal roots on display and his rich Betazoid heritage accented them. His guitar rested on a stand in a corner next to a hand carved ebony drum. Pictures rested on floating shelves of both their families and of the two of them, affixed to the shelves securely so they wouldn’t fall off anytime the ship shook for any reason (a lesson they had learned early in their time living together). Alongside the photos were small carved statues in semi-abstract forms from her homeland that were similar to the ones in her ready room.

Sitting on the sofa, Koraia was still in her uniform, though her jacket was draped neatly over the back of a dining chair. She had a pile of PADDs on the coffee table and lowered one into her lap as she looked up to identify her visitor. She smiled. “Orvos, what a pleasant surprise. Do come in and make yourself at home,” she said sincerely.

Orvos stepped inside and took in the surroundings. “Quite the blend of cultures,” he stated with a small grin. He imagined things would have been different here had Nico stayed. But the furry little guy was bound for great adventures away from the Athena.

He then brought his gaze to her. “Just you here, or is Mr. Vander here too?” he inquired as he moved closer to the sofa.
