Benjamin set the sensors to monitor Madison’s bodily functions and set a screen that showed heat signatures. He then tapped a few times and started raising the temperature in the chamber slowly above room temperature.

Liam became uncomfortable. His eyes opened and he noted his palms weren’t heating up. He frowned and looked at Grey through the glass, noticing the man had increased the temperature. His thoughts recalled various animals that could increase or decrease their body temperature based on independent action. Bats stuck out to him because they were warm-blooded mammals like himself.

“I’m not producing any heat,” Liam commented and continued to frown.

He knew without it, the test was going to be a short one. The systems indicated no change in Liam’s body temperature even with the higher temperature in the room.

Benjamin nodded “Perhaps your body needs negative stimuli, let’s try a more aggressive change in the other direction” He said as he tapped the console reversing the temperature below average room temperature “During other times you’ve produced heat was there something you did differently? It may simply be a matter of focus”

” Joseph had notes, but I haven’t fully reviewed them. Just skimmed,” Liam recalled, thinking to back to Joseph’s mention of taking notes.

“Computer, replicate Ensign Joseph Madison’s notes for Dr. Grey,” he requested as he clenched his fists.

Nothing happened. His breath came out misty and warmed the cold air, his body began to shiver slightly. Scans indicated that the symbiote co-existing had started to wiggle in discomfort. It was not happy being in the colder temperatures. The notes requested materialized on a nearby table to Dr. Grey for him to look at it.
