When the table was all set she went back to the replicator. “Laraan wig no. 7” she said. As it materialised she took it and placed the wig of shoulder-length straight blond hair on her head. She didn’t quite know why she did it, but it felt right. There was another Laraan in this universe and knowing what she had just discovered she was capable of, she was a wee bit afraid of that other Laraan. Afraid and curious. Did her people even exist in this universe? Did they have the same dogma to restrict channeling? If not… well she didn’t really want to think about it. But not being immediatelly recognised as a Heleen seemed prudent. With the wig on, only a few of her frillings showed at the side of her neck and the back of her hands. But then there were more species with such markings. Trills for one.
She then replicated a serviette and draped it over her arm. She was really getting into this waiter role. Maybe a second bottle of water as well, she thought.

As the group entered, Kaylee gave Laraan a nod and a smile. She then turned her attention back to their guests. “Please, make yourselves comfortable.” She gestured towards the table with a sweep of her arm. “Perhaps you could tell us more about the alliance you mentioned earlier.” It was something she had picked up on and was curious to learn more about.
