Cara swallowed and gave Janna calm smile as she looked the results. Bleeding around the collar bone that caught the most trauma. “Just a little bleeding from the braces. I’m going to give you a hypo with a dose of inaprovaline and then we’ll keep an eye on it,” Janna said because she didn’t believe in keeping information from her patient. However given them the information with a plan of treatment tended to put people at ease. Cara reached into her bag and took out her hypo and injected Janna when she was ready.

“Could be worse,” Janna said with feigned lightness. she was nothing if not good at faking it when needed. She was still shaking, but Janna was taking deep breaths in order to bring her anxiety levels down.

“Alright we’re going let the medicine do it’s job and then carefully get you out of these straps and to the triage area where you can lie down,” Janna said camly, her voice stead and reassuring. After a moment she let Janna lean on her shoulder so she could help lift her up.

Janna nodded.

Benjamin could see several senior officers in the distance surrounding a strangely dressed man and someone lying there next to them as he set up the Triage Center. “Alright let’s get an inventory count on the supplies we have” He called out to the Medical staff around him “Let’s get what blankets and covers we have on the ground for heavily injured people.” He looked around before tapping his Combadge =^=Dr Grey to all Medical Staff, I’ve set up a Central triage station on my location, make your way with all injured personnel, if anyone cannot be moved here inform me immediately. Otherwise make your way here for further assignments, Grey out.=^= He closed the channel and took a moment, he was going to talk to the entire surviving crew now. He hadn’t been forced to speak to so many people for quite some time =^=Chief Medical Office Grey to all Crewmembers, We’ve set up a Triage Station at my Location, if you are too injured to move let us know, we’ll send a Medical team to your location.=^= He closed the channel and the announcement and got to work with the injured people they had brought with them.

It didn’t take long for people to start to gather at the coordinates where the doctor had landed. People began to tear themselves away from the drama a short distance away at the Guardian as their pain drove them to seek medical help. First on the scene was the crew member who had seen the ship destroyed during the temporal warp. The man was nearly incoherent and was shaking like a leaf. Two others had brought him and were looking helpless not knowing what to do.

The contusions were arriving but those with more serious maladies were scattered throughout the gathering, unable to move.

“Ah yes, over here” Benjamin set down a blanket next to the Counselor and Doctor Daniels “Lay him down here” He looked over at Cara “When Ms Is able, allow her to see to his psychological treatment, and give him a once over as well” He smiled joylessly before moving to the approaching medical teams “Ok Coordinate with the Security forces, if they follow protocol they should be creating a perimeter, work from the edges and find any who are unable to be physically transported. I’m going to set up a runner system for any special medicine, each team needs to have at least one surgeon and two filled packs” He spoke briskly.

Cara nodded, “Yes sir,” she said as she got Janna to her place to be able to lay down. she ran one more scan to make sure Janna’s bleeding had stopped. She didn’t have time to stop there were wounded all around she needed to get to. After getting the results she took a breath and grabbed some a cantine of water to start passing cups of water around to keep them hydrated.
“I’ll be right back,” Cara promised then she grabbed the nearest nurse and began to evaluate the most criticially wounded and the unciousious who were unable to move. She spoke to Heather her friend from the academy.
“I want you to keep an eye on Janna to make sure the bleeding doesn’t get worse and our patient in mental shock. I’m going to start working on those who need immediate attention,” Cara said and then ordered the nurses to follow her as she started working one injured patient at at a time. This was what all that training was for and she had no choice but to be ready. With blood smeared on Cara’s gloves she replaced them and kept going trying to keep her most critical patients alive until they could be moved to triage.

Moving over to the blanket, Janna for sure could say she felt stiff and sore. The landing had definitely rattled her, but it was easy to push it to the side while there were others who needed her help. She turned her head to the man struggling and gave him a reassuring smile. “Hey,” she said simply to gauge his responsiveness.

Benjamin looked over at the crowd of senior staff in the distance. He hadn’t been looking but he was fairly certain something crashed around them but they seemed to be alright. After the medical teams brought their supplies and he got a good look over what they had he finally took a deep breath. It had been probably less than an hour since the Athena was blown up but it felt like days. He hadn’t been this exhausted for a long time.

The world had changed in just a few short hours. Their ship was gone. But the people who made up the ship remained and they needed her help so she concentrated on them instead of the fire ball in the sky that had once been their home. She helped men find places for their wounded crewmates and soothed their fears and sent them back out to do their jobs with water and protein and carb rations to keep them going. After coming in from outside and seeing Stark being threatened by whatever it was that had take down their ship she prayed he was still alive, that all of the command staff were still alive. When Horace brought in a little boy just out of toddlerhood with pointed ears that looked half vulcan unconcious she guided them to the nearest blanket to lay him on.
“How long,” Cara asked briksly of the man who had brought in the child. He looked too pale against his long dark hair and not responding to stimulus. Cara ran a quicl scan for bleeding and brain damage.
The ensign looked wideeyed, “El’rik has been out just a few minutes, he seemed fine and then he just collapsed.” Cara nodded not taking her attention away from the young boy but made a mental note about the boy’s name. His vitals and breathing were starting to slow and Cara jumped into action giving him mouth to mouth and hypos of stimilants. When the boy still wasn’t breathing she reached for her kit and did an grabbed a tube and a knife and with the help of a nurse did an emergency surgery. She made the incesion and the placed the tube carefully and blood began to spill into the pan.
“He’s breathing, ” Cara said with a smile and then she looked at the nearest assistant. “I need to find out who his parents are and if they made it,” Cara said because she may have saved he boys life but he was in no way out of the woods. Cara looked at Janna with a shrug.
“Do you recognize him?” Cara asked as she bandaged up around the incision.

Meanwhile Benjamin helped realign an unfortunate crewmans shoulder after having taken a nasty tumble. If this goes on we’re going to need a bigger triage center.
