Benjamin took a moment to consider “Well new worlds, especially in pre-warp societies can be overwhelming. Pheremones can also affect it but I take other medication to counter that once a month. All in all it makes for a decent party trick and occationally helps me diagnose my patients when I am without scanning equipment, or helps focus where I should focus my attention. It’s partly why I was so surprised by your revelation by your leg, biosynth legs usually have a distinctive smell.” He took a whiff of his drink “But more than anything else it simply makes life enjoyable, being able to know things about stuff and people.”

She gave a slight smile nod nodded, before shifting into a deeper grin. “I must drive you crazy then, what with the incense and spicy food I cook and eat.” The heady spices of her childhood food remained a strong pull for her and though she was adventurous in her eating, she returned time and time again to the foods she was raised on. And that wasn’t even considering her meditation rituals.

Benjamin laughed awkwardly as he scratched his neck in discomfort “Well I mean… I don’t let such things bother me” He quickly downed his drink in slight embarrassment, feeling his cheeks redden. After finishing his drink the embarrassment seemed to fade “It’s pheremone producing species that are more bothersome, I almost had a seizure the first time I met a Deltan. Not pleasent I can tell you that”

“Ahh,” Ghubari said knowingly. “Then I would forewarn you about our new Lounge Host then. Go prepared,” she said with a wink before she downed more of her drink. There was a time when she could hold her own with others at the bar, but that was a long time ago- a seeming lifetime ago really. But now it didn’t take much for her head to feel light and not much more before it began to spin. It was good that they were sitting, because she was pretty certain she might not be walking back to her quarters with near the amount of grace she would want to convey to the crew. Luckily for her she knew the ship intimately and already had the rime route back to her quarters that would allow her to bypass as many potential interactions with others as possible.
Holding the drink up a bit, she smirked. “I am feeling rather mellow now. Let me guess, Ben, you’re just getting started?”

“Hah!” Benjamin laughed “Aye Cap’n, that I am” He raised his left hand “Although I’m starting to get slightly tingly” He turned to look at the Captain “That reminds me” He placed his hand in his right pocket and rummaged around and after a moment removed a small box, tossing it to the Captain “Call it an anti-hangover pill, I concocted it to suit your Napean physiology. Take it before you go to sleep and have a large breakfast in the morning with plenty of fluids. Ye’ll be groggy first thing but after a nice protein rich meal ye’ll be fine”

Ghubari caught the box and gave a lopsided smirk. “Much obliged. my husband will be probably as grateful as I am. Nothing like waking up to a hangover only to realize it’s just your psi abilities picking up your partners’.”
She set the box to the side and considered Ben for a moment. “You’ve had a little bit of time to settle in now. What do you think the next while looks like? Any ambitions at all?”
