Conner whipped around and attempted to deflect the blow he pushed forward harshly then moved back quickly to give himself some breathing space. “Nice move Captain,” He said breathlessly.

“And you’re keeping up. I’m impressed. You can ask Stark, I’m not easily impressed,” Koraia replied, carving out some space for them to re-set.
Stark was tempted to call out some advice to Conner to give him the inside track on Ghubari’s fighting style but he stopped himself and just watched. It was a joy seeing his chosen sister back to full fighting fitness again.
“Let’s see some dimensional fighting here people.” he called out in encouragement, “You’re fighting in the 2D plane. Start using height, floor, distance and don’t be limited to just the weapon in your hand, use your whole body.” Stark settled in to try to anticipate what would happen next knowing that doing that was about 80% as good as being in the fight itself.

She laughed. “Next time I’ll opt for the holodeck. we can make it really interesting.” Spinning the bō back into both hands, she took up a defensive position with her knees bent and centre of gravity lower. “Come on Cadet. Do your worst.”
